Would it be a terrible idea to pitch a trade for joe Johnson? Give them  a future pick and maybe we could use a t/e to absorb the contract not sure if we have them left or not. I'm not really sure how the technicals work but he's going to win the a few games this year with his scoring and he would be a good veteran presence. What do you guys think?

Please tell me you're joking?

Kaminsky is so garbage.  He will never come close to KO's production.  MJ is a fool

Edit: and then I saw his stats and see he's doing fine overall.  But man, that out of bounds play was just egregious

If so, scotto1205, then I apologise for the mocking tone.

But...why?

Joe Johnson has been beyond terrible this year.  He's probably a large part of why they have been so darn terrible.  His level of production is horribly, horribly out of proportion with his utterly ridiculous contract.

No idea why we would want to take that on.  I know we need an upgrade at SF, but IMHO Jae Crowder and Evan Turner are both better players than JJ is right now...and those two guys make less money combined than JJ on his own.  Even if you did manage to somehow find a way to argue that Joe Johnson is an upgrade, it would be by such a tiny, tiny margin so as to be utterly insignificant.

I'm not even sure that getting rid of him hurts Brooklyn.  Just creates more opportunity for one of their bench guys to come up and break out.

Plus giving them a 1st too?  That just gives them a chance of transferring to a not-uttterly-sucky state sooner.

Yeah the only players winning them games are Lopez and Thaddy Long Legs.  Charlotte mercifully seems like they will come away with this one.

After being neck and neck all game, the Nets have now been unnecessarily fouling at the 3 point line, standing around while only one player rebounds, making lazy passes, almost never cutting and not running back on transition in the 4th.

I like what I see!  ;D

Oh, man, two Kemba Walker missed free throws and a Jeremy Lin turnover. Can't they just blow these guys out and give me one night without worry? :D

Lopez just set the ugliest illegal screen in NBA history to basically seal a Nets loss.

This was huge, the Nets were looking chippy for a minute there and now they look totally demoralized while playing Brook big minutes.

Charlotte is trying almost as hard as the Nets to lose. Fortunately, the Nets are just better at it.
