This Nets team plays hard. I don't see a bottom three pick from them.

quick, trade the pick for Cousins before the Kings figure out that it won't be a top 5 pick  :P

Nah everything has to go right for them it won't happen often.  The Rockets are literally Harden, when he's bad they're bad and he was baaadddd

Unbelievable, Now the Nets have some confidence heading into a matchup with the dysfunctional Sacramento Kings, What a disaster...

10% of the way into the season, looks like a 3-way race between Lakers (I hate rooting for them, but I need them to win a few.), who almost pulled out a win for us, Philadelphia (where nobody told Okafor that they're supposed to lose) and Brooklyn. I've also gotta think that Denver will be challenging for a spot at the bottom, particularly now that Chandler is gone for the season.

Don't take the Nets win too seriously. They're 1-7. Were we so greedy that we began to expect Brooklyn to be historically bad?

Houston got almost nothing from their supporting cast. Terrence Jones was coming back from injury and was bad. Lawson was bad. Brewer was bad. Beverley was bad. They saw a terrible team and only a few showed up to play.

Brooklyn will still be a bottom 5 team and give us a terrific shot at landing a legit franchise superstar one way or another.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Austin Rivers with more shots than Pierce and Josh Smith combined tonight in the Clippers loss to the Mavs. Doc can find many ways to lose, despite accumulating more talent on that roster. So the Mavs win, the Nets win, and we lose. Horrible night, but its just one night in a long season.

Wow, a depression sets over CB. This is the first morning since the beginning of the season where I've logged on and this thread wasn't listed in "Latest Forum Topics."

It was certainly an ugly day for our tanking interests. Dallas pushing their way into the conference top 8, and outsource tank rival LAL dropping a close one to Orlando, the Pelican stealth tank rolling quietly on and of course the Rockets somehow out-stinking the Nets in the 3-point futility (8-34!).

But World War II wasn't won in a day, and I'm positive there's a Net Panzer column working on a counter-offensive as we speak. As weak an ally as Sacramento looks right now, they did just dust a pretty good (so far) Pistons squad and they'll be coming off a day's rest at home.

The Kings also match-up pretty well against the Nets (I know, who doesn't, but the Rockets small ball group actually played to the Nets advantage last night). DMC is hitting the 3 at a good rate so far and Lopez really struggles defending bigs with range and ball-handling ability. Further Gay/Casspi have the size to keep JJ and Bogey perimeter oriented (where they have been mostly terrible - they need smaller guys to post to be effective creators), while the Sacramento assortment of rebounding towers (and Rondo) will make life much tougher for Thad/Brook on the boards at both ends and keep the Nets from getting as much shooting and versatility on the floor as they did last night.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Jimmy Butler
PF: Pau Gasol
C: Yao Ming

The Rockets are in a weird place right now. They are hugely underperforming and the team just isn't coming together like everyone thought it would. Ty Lawson has been particularly awful (maybe he needs a drink?). This win doesn't mean a whole lot.

Still, it's a reminder that anyone in the NBA can beat anyone on a given night (unless they're playing the Warriors, who apparently don't lose anymore) and the Nets will win some games this season.

WE WANT bkn to win more games than at least 1 other team, 6ers have been the worst and haven't taken 1 yet! BKN tank for 2nd but end up with 1!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I don't think that's how math works.

Also, the Sixers have had the 2nd+3rd worst record the past two seasons - Bucks in 2013, Wolves/Knicks in 2014.  The #1 pick was won by the team with the worst record last year.
