I can't believe we have 2 more seasons of scrutinizing Nets and other teams results, schedules, transactions, injuries, etc, and fretting lol

It's fun though, and it helps our team. So I'm all for it
Also, the Nets will likely finish with under 25 wins this season. Unless they sign Mike Conley and DeMar DeRozan or they somehow sign Durant, I will be very annoyed if someone expects them to approach close 35 wins next season. Especially considering how good the East is.

It will be another lottery pick next season.

Get ready to be annoyed during the off-season then. Take a look at the early part of this thread for the usual suspects.

LOL
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Reading this thread again is great.  My only regret is that Skal L fell off as a prospect and we had to abandon foulwratherfan's "Skalenfreude" term for Nets watching

I don't care what anyone else says... the Suns are shamefully tanking. After winning the Lakers games they've decided not to even try to win another game this year.

Everyone has cap space but that doesn't mean they will use it. Some won't want to hamstring themselves for 2017 when there is a much larger pool of FAs.

I think it's premature to call their record. We have no idea what will happen in the summer. Chicago might go full rebuild if they trade Butler, same goes for Washington if they miss out on Durant, or the Hawks if they let Horford go. Pacers if they let George go.. Brooklyn looks like a lottery pick for sure but to say it will be as good as this years is difficult without knowing the rest of the landscape

That really was a stroke of genius...

As for 16-17 Nets speculation: It's way too early. But speculating about things is what we do best here. Thus...

I believe the Nets will be better next year, ex-injuries. JJ won't be back, but they are a net buyer, no pun intended, in the off-season. They'll get somebody at the PG because they'll massively overpay, so that will be a step up. They'll also sign a bench player or two. Having said that...

Free agency is a relative game, and I don't see them getting that much better on a relative basis. Upthread, somebody mentioned Washington and Atlanta as possible blow-it-ups. I agree. They're relative losers. But the 76ers will be better and LAL might even be better without Kobe. Phoenix will almost certainly be better. Minnesota will be better, simply by virtue of age. Etc. Memphis, a shining example of why it is important to use protection (on your draft picks) has only minimal control over its picks, which go to Denver next year (protected 1-5) and us two years later (with protection).

Bottom line is that if BKN improves, I just don't think that it will be by that much. Now, let the speculation for 17-18 start...

It's starting to look like the Cavs are about to blow out the Nets.  That's back to back blowouts for the Nets to stomach, I really like this.  It would have been funny if the Nets beat them again, but I'll take a blow out any day.

I dislike the lebrons so much that every now and then, watching this game, I forget that I want them to win. I find myself rooting for a Nets basket then I remember I want them to lose. LOL it hurts me to need a cavs win.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I don't watch the cavs often, does anyone know why Mo doesn't get pt, has he been injured? I thought he would be good for them.

Thanks. If he is healthy, I think he is the type to help steal a playoff game for them, he can get hot like the best players.
