Brook Lopez probably kept us from Ben Simmons this year.  Dude is legit.

Russell is going to be a star.  Kid can shoot.

I didn't watch the game, but my feeling is that younger players feel relieved when Kobe is not around.

As for Russell, 8/12 3pts is clearly a great performance but IMO we should give this some more time. The League is full with talented young guards, it will take time before we know for sure which are the best of them.
hes just a rookie, but I've seen plenty of evidence he will be a great player long term.  It will be interesting when he has a coach who isn't actively trying to hold him back.

But you don't feel the same about Smart?
I really like Smart.  I'm not sure Smart will ever be competent enough offensively to be a star.

Tomorrow's another game, even bigger! Go Minny! Hope this OT leads to a little fatigue tomorrow especially for Lopez!  :)

Same as last nuggets nets game. ESPN app show 0 seconds with nuggets ahead but it's not right. Ugh

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Mudiay got punked on that last defensive possession.  Larkin blew by him then he didn't even attempt to slow down Lopez on the rebound.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
nneeeoooooo.

lol @ Jakkar Sampsons box out vs Lopez on the put back.

That's two games vs the Nuggets they've come back from the absolute dead to win.
Can't believe they beat us twice too. 4 wins right there that have hurt our chances at getting Simmons or Ingram (or a top 3 pick for a star trade).

Anyway, moving on, plenty of games left!
Denver are just awful lol.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

He didn't take them to 35-40 wins though.

Yup.  It was his job to box out Lopez on that play.  But in reality they had so many other opportunities to win the game that they failed to capitalize/made mistakes on.  Such is the way of a young team.

That makes about as much sense as Trump's politics.  But I think I understand that last statement a little better than whatever goes on in Trump's head.

Wolves can't play any D. They will end up worse than the Nets. So we now went from the third pick to the fifth pick in the last 3 weeks. What team is next. The Nuggets?

Nope.  Health derailed the team.  Pretty much no depth there at this point.  Despite losing 2 of their best players to injuries and another being bought out, they've still managed to go 6-6 out of their last 12.

Luckily at this point they are in such a hole that even if they go .500 for the remainder of the season we're getting a pick in the top 6 most likely.
