I mean there's no way that post isn't just STK setting the bait for a "Hurr Durr I hate Tankers" is there?

Everybody knows it's impossible to enjoy watching individual games that the Celtics play while also having misgivings about the bigger picture and the way the Celtics are building the team long term.

And everyone knows that there's more than one way to build a team.

Sigh. Yes, clearly that's the point.

I'M READY.....Got my NBA League Pass out here in California, otherwise I get to see nothing but lousy Laker games.
the one thing they have to change is when the Celtics play the Lakers they black out League Pass and force you to watch the game on Time Warner Sports Network so you have to listen to Laker announcers......bummer!!!

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I'm excited.

I'm so happy to see these players play, and hustle. Scrap, and claw their way to a well deserved win.

I appreciated how many times the Celtics player pushed and worked together as a team.

Yes we weren't the greatest, but we played like we had fun, we played like we were focused. Unfortunately our team just isn't talented enough without a superstar.

David Lee will be a lovely pick up, but I don't see him staying long. He could be trade fodder for Melo, and he couldn't be not.

But there are still possibilities out there for us regardless.

I trust Ainge. I'm hopeful for an amazing season, and if, and whether or not the Celtics self destruct, I'll still be there watching every mess on the way. :)

Cheers.

Lets go for that banner.

I will. I probably only miss a game or two a season.

Year two for Smart will be fun to see if he makes the jump we all hope for.

RJ Hunter's play in summer league has me intrigued.

Seeing if Sullinger can finally take advantage of his bball iq and nice touch, by not negating them by being out of shape, is an interesting thing to watch for.

Rozier and Amir adding more toughness to the team both seem to fit the Brad Stevens mold.

There's plenty of other reasons also.

Agree it is our biggest question for the season to me.

I can't wait for the season to start!!

A few things have me excited:

* Can Sully develop the attitude to match his talent level, and finally impress us?
* Can Olynyk build on his defensive gains / Canada performance and have a break-out year?
* Can Smart take it to the next level by adding a solid offensive game to complement the D?
* Can Zeller prove that last year (17 / 2.5 / 10 Per-36, 55% FG, 82% FT) was no fluke?
* Can David Lee show he still has some of that All-Star in him?
* Can Bradley take another step as a shooter and return to the realm of the defensively elite?
* Can Crowder show us he is more than just a defensive role player?
* Can Thomas buy in to the 6th man role and lead out second unit as our go-to scorer?
* Can our rookies contribute and show us some signs that they have some real potential?
* Can Perry Jones prove that he was genuinely being held back by his role in OKC?
* Can Amir Johnson give us that interior toughness & defense that we haven't had since Perk?

To me this is one of the fun parts of having such a young and constantly evolving team - you just never know who is going to take that 'next step', and when.  It makes the team (IMHO) so much fun to watch.

I loved watching them last year. That scrappy, underdog team was simply a joy to watch.

So I'm hoping for the same thing this year, albeit with more natural talent.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.
