There are a lot of teams in the East this year that have a legitimate shot to make the playoffs, and that are going to be competing to get there.  Our Celtics are one of those teams.  I am looking forward to watching them go on that journey.

November can't come soon enough.

Let's go Celtics!!

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I guess the better question would be, "who isn't going to enjoy watching the C's this year (or any year) and if that's the case, why are you here?".

The loose women and cheap drinks, obviously.

Mission accomplished.

I have, for the first time in like 2 years, cable of my own, so I finally have CSNNE again. So excited for Mike + Tommy.

The OP of this thread claimed his interest waned at the end of last season.

Not sure if trolling.

The end of last season was amazing. Every game mattered and the Celtics were playing the best basketball they've played in almost 3 years.

For me I think the end of the season was mixed: Loved watching the team play better/harder/more excitingly than they had in recent history, but knowing we'd probably get swept in the playoffs if we made it was kind of a damper.

Not trolling, forgot about the last second wins near the end of the season. The Cleveland series.....that was tough.

Yeah.

Cognitive dissonance has been a big thing for me with the Celtics the past couple of years.

Two years ago, I largely found the product on the floor depressing, but was heartened by the knowledge that they'd get a top pick out of it.

Last year, I enjoyed their second half surge to the playoffs because the games themselves were often fairly entertaining.  At the same time, I was kind of dismayed by it because I understood that the run to the playoffs came with a cost that probably hurt the team's ability to become a lot more entertaining in the next few years.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

This season has so many storylines that I think it's going to be impossible NOT to enjoy.

-Can the Celtics build off last year's success or was it a fluke?
-If it was a fluke, do the Celtics go back to tanking?
-Will Marcus Smart take "the leap" this season?
-Can David Lee still play good basketball?
-Will Jared Sullinger get past his demons and play like the player we all know he can be?
-How does Brad manage the minutes with the influx of combo guards and and power forwards on the roster?
-Who is going to be on the roster by season's end?
-Who do the Celtics choose to keep long-term between Sully, Zeller, and KO?
-Who amongst the rookies is going to get substantial minutes?
-Do the Celtics plan on keeping Avery Bradley and Isaiah Thomas long-term?
-If a superstar does become available by trade, will the Celtics go after him?
-If they do, what young players/picks/expirings go out to trade for said superstar?

We're also going to be watching three teams this year (Brooklyn, Dallas, Minnesota) to see how well they do this year because of the picks they owe the C's. Trader Danny has a lot of assets and CBS has a lot of options to go through. Even if the Celtics as of right now aren't contenders, this is going to be a fun season to watch.

I mean there's no way that post isn't just STK setting the bait for a "Hurr Durr I hate Tankers" is there?

Everybody knows it's impossible to enjoy watching individual games that the Celtics play while also having misgivings about the bigger picture and the way the Celtics are building the team long term.

And everyone knows that there's more than one way to build a team.

Counting the days. Chompin at the bit.  Can't wait.

There is so much to look forward to this season -- as johnnyboy said -- so many storylines.   Excited to watch what happens with Dallas, Nets, Minny.  Excited for possible trades.  I think the current roster is a huge wild card in the east.  This team could be mediocre record-wise, but will be a very tough team to beat.

I look forward to this season because we have a lot of guys who can play and play hard every night.
We can throw waves and waves of good players at the opposition.

Like James Young, the second coming of Alex English?

None of us are going to enjoy this season. Not one of us. Nope. Nobody.
