So he wouldn't be embarrassed by tonight's blowout by the Celtics, he got himself thrown out of the game, way to give your team a chance, Rondo!!!!

Yes, I'm sure that no former (or current) Celtic has gotten himself tossed from games because of double techs.......................

Didn't CBS get ejected this season?

....but anyways Great game, C's. From the highlights, it appeared as if they jumped on the Kings from the start.

The King's players may not have taken the game seriously being that it was in Mexico. Saw highlights of Boogie playing with kids at the start of the game. I am certain that such behavior probably ticked off Rondo.

Seeing Boogie playing with the locals like that was STRANGE - being that - according to SOME of us - he EATS regular fans and children, too.

And YES I am a perennial Rajon Rondo supporter on here. I see the TOTAL picture of a player that I will probably never meet. I see him as a former Celtic great (which he was). He's not perfect but neither was Paul or KG.

He's had - OVERALL - a good season in SAC. He seems healthy and just as feisty as ever....probably more healthy than he was in BOS his last couple of years OR DAL.

I don't know...last night I actually felt bad for him. He's playing in a contract year, he has a personal reputation problem to deal with, on a team that is terribly dysfunctional. The teams best player, can't or won't fight through any adversity, and is in need of mental health council. Many of the surrounding players look like they're going through the motions without a plan. The Coach is trying to do his job, get everybody on the same page, any page! Unfortunately everyone has a different book.

Rondo has to try to hold this ship of fools together, and be a leader. Because when and if the Kings finally blowup, he will get at least some of the blame.

Well it certainly wasn't a good night for Rondo. The reason i say there is so much hate on this board for Rondo is because I read the posts on the board. We he struggles it makes people happy. For every one post where someone says, "you know its really a shame that he got hurt and a real shame that everything couldn't have come together with him here post big 3" there are 10plus posts saying how bad he is, showing all his flaws saying the best thing we ever did was trade him. We all hoped that post Big 3 RR would be able to lead a team of spare parts into something very good the way maybe Steve Nash could have done once upon a time. It didn't work. But that doesn't take away all his allstar years or his first team all nba D. But it's like people want to go and rewrite the past (big 3 era) to make up for the sup par play the team had when Rondo was back from the ACL.

Do you guys remember Marc Blount? That was I guy I can understand the hate for.

Over- rated big time! Best move Ainge ever made when he showed him the door...

I suggest that you review Danny's trades over the last few years.

TBQH - His best move IMO was showing Paul Pierce and KG the door...........

His best move by far was getting KG in the front door.  The Brooklyn deal's either 2nd or 3rd depending on whether you count getting Ray as a necessary part of the KG deal or not.

Hey, Eddie.

I'm certain that ANYONE who likes Rondo on here speaks gibberish to you.

This too, FWF - I cannot agree more.

But to answer the OP - I cannot agree with him that trading Rondo was the best move that Danny has ever made.

That is how someone felt about Larry Bird, and as a result, he has said that he would never work in the Boston organization again. You may think that is OK, but I think just the sentiment is a real shame.

I watch all the C's games. I have NBA Team Pass which allows you to watch just Boston games either live or after it is over and has archived on your computer.

Ok new Rondo question and I didn't want to start yet another RR thread.

Next year if we could replace Turner for RR would you? Turner will probably make a bit more and RR a bit less (ok they probably both make more with the new cap but I'm talking in terms of percent of the cap.) The 2 knocks on RR were he couldn't hit the 3 or the ft. Well Turner can't hit the 3 at all. RR is better at a lot of things and only really worse at the ft line. If the Kings don't want him back we might be able to pick him up cheap.

Not sure about fit. AB, Smart, IT and RR all can make a great case as to why they should start but we could let that work it self out.

With Crowder here and Smart and AB we have really good D. With RR as a free safety it would be better.

Obviously RR is not what puts us over the top but he would help and be an upgrade over Turner? disagree or disagree?

Not sure what Rondo has to do with Turner. Rondo doesn't fit our guard rotation and will force to play players out of position. The Turner keeps players playing at their position is his most valuable trait.

Plus, I've moved on from Rondo. I don't want him around anymore, not even for free. I'd take my chances with our current guard rotation and live with it.

as much as I think we need a PG that can handle the ball/run an offense/pass, I don't think Rondo would fit with what Stevens is doing with the team even if Rondo came to play every night.  I love Rondo and miss him each time I watch IT, Turner and Smart try to run this offense but if anything, we need a PG like Rondo but one that can shoot from the floor at a respectable percentage as well as make better than 75% of their FTs (and that's a very low % for the person most likely to have the ball down the stretch of a game)
