What really matters is that Cousins and Coach Karl both love him. He called a player/coach meeting with Cousins and Karl, and worked some things out. Cousins and Rondo seem to have developed respect and friendship.
Some people on this board take everything Rondo says (with his dry humor), like not playing defense, or he and Coach Karl had problems, and turn it against him. He has been injured the past few years, but people expected him to pull out wins as if the young players he was playing with were on the same level as Allen, Pierce and Garnett...and blamed him when he couldn't even though he was still recovering from injury. It seems to me that he did everything he could, but probably shouldn't have been asked to, to mentor young players and be a "player-coach" for Coach Stevens. And.....Coach Carlisle recently came out and said that it was Not Rondo's fault that he was a misfit in Dallas. Carlisle could have just kept his mouth shut and not said anything if it was not true.
Those coaches and players involved may be lying, but maybe not. I choose to believe not.
