Stevens at butler at least showed a propensity to play undersized bigs.  He didn't have anyone else.  Good rebounders but he liked undersized big men.  Totally different but the situation is kind of the same here.

Am I right to think if Stevens is going to play our best players it's going to be Smart, Isaiah, Sully and Lee?  It's not like there is a huge difference in talent throughout the roster but the roster also isn't that talented where if stevens can ride a few guys they are going to play major minutes.

Amir, Zeller, KO, Crowder, Turner, MIckey, Rj are more here to fill the gaps.  Bradley is himself.  He'll probably eat a lot of minutes too but injuries happen.

Best thing that can happen with Sully is he comes to camp in the best shape of his life and has a great season. I still don't think that keeps him here. To me it seems it will just show he is in a contract year and after that would go back to eating potato chips all day long on the couch. But Danny will be smart enough to use this to his advantage and trade him to upgrade talent with a player we can count on for years.

To DOS...
your reply to the original post was harsh and uncalled for.  Clearly, the OP was expressing his opinion that Sully isn't going anywhere.  Other than the writers, there may be no one on this blog that is a Celtics employee or has a direct pipeline to Danny or ownership.

A lot of what is discussed on this blog is opinion.  Sometimes, people have a fact based discussion.  A lot of people can't separate opinion from fact.  In my opinion, if Sully doesn't come to camp in shape, he will be traded before the deadline.  If he comes in shape but doesn't keep it, he will also be traded.  I would let him become a RFA.  He's not the guy to lock up for a lot of years and a lot of money until he proves he can maintain condition and we see what his ceiling truly is.

I will be sure to use "the celtics think more like me than you realize" when expressing all of my opinions in the future, then.

I thought Budweiser Celtic's response above was hilarious. So did the Celtics front office, who think more like me than you realize.

I think this is very likely, as well.   I don't think he owes us anything.

I think this is very funny.   He is not top ten in any area.   His skill levels are relatively high, where is he going to improve, but then he might be shooting 30% from the three at the present rate of improvement he has demonstrated.

Sully is either going to step up or lally gag and get frustrated.   I'd rather it be the former.  He's apparently worked hard this offseason so hopefully he comes through.  All signs make me think he will but we will see.

Best case for us is really Smart and Sully becoming staples.  That would work well. Along with Isaiah and a few other guys(Lee probably included),  they are our most talented guys.

I agree, he will either do well and step up or he will sulk.  This is the most he has worked out in the off season.   I think it is great he has done it, but it is deplorable that he had not up to this point.  Instead of being proud of him, I think we ought to call him on it.   It is like a guy who loses weight because he had a heart attack.   If he had lost it early, maybe the problem does not even occur?

As for staples, Smart shows more promise, and he plays on both ends of the court.   I hope we get a decent big with the NJ or Dallas pick.   Some unathletic guys skills transcend their lack of athletic ability but that is not the case here.   He is a solid rebounder can score, but his shooting is not elite.  His shot selection is terrible sometimes.   He reminds me a lot of AW in that regard but Antionne had more talent than Jared.  But it helps the team, if all our guys do well.   I am just not holding my breath.

He could even be traded before.   Recall the twitter account and the draft.    I don't see us moving him for Morris but if the right deal came up, he would be gone in an instant.   Ainge clearly served him notice this off season that past stuff would not be tolerated.   I wish we could watch some practices too.   Mickey and Amir will be swatting both Sully and Oly in practice.   This will make them better or kill their confidence thought I think Mickey will be pushed around by them.

This is the most fair article I've seen on Sullinger

http://nesn.com/2015/05/rebuilding-the-celtics-jared-sullinger-entering-make-or-break-season/

Danny's comments are i nteresting because he's stating that Sully hasn't  lived up to his potential, but they obviously feel he has some.

Sully is out to prove all the doubters wrong.  He has the final say.

Sully will probably end up traded around the deadline like Reggie Jackson was last year.  Team doesn't really believe in him as a starter, not interested in paying what it will take to keep him.

I'm actually surprised at how many people think Sully will be gone.  He has a lot of fans.  I was not high on him so much early.  I want to see him in shape.  Maybe he's a dud.  Is the C's front office really that down on him?

We have Mickey and KO.  I hope we don't give up too earl yon  Sully  though.  David Lee is 32 and can play a few years.

I can see where KO might be a better fit if Sully has no lift and is going to struggle, but I want to see how he plays this year.
