he looks like a guy yo can't bully in the paint, looks like force as a rebounder offensively or defensively-what a power base he has
-there was a forward on notheastern way back in the day harry barnes got nba drafted along with rick weitzman who went to celts ,i was a skinny kid that played for rollie massimino and this was rollie's camp, well everytime i went into the paint this chiseled monster would swat me away like a fly, well i plotted my revenge when he went in the water i pulled him out over his head,he couldn't swim and i told him your not going to do that next time i go in the paint-next time i drove he decked me  again and he never went back in the water.
i could have lifted weights for a lifetime and never have gotten quads like that guy had but as a skinny kid one on one i was almost unbeatable with a deadly jumper and wicked first step,i held my own agains weitzman a defensive specialist.rollie said i had the quickest step he had seen ,it was boderline illegal the timing of the ball hitting the floor to the lift of my pivot foot gave me that fractional  edge.

Glory Days.

Trouble is that power base does not propel Sully up that high or aid him in sprinting.   There is a big difference between, being able to push people around because of bulk and power.  But if his base was really that powerful would not he had come in almost last in the athletic testing of his draft class in some athletic tests?  Hence, it is not a power base, but a big butt.

What are you talking about? It makes no sense.

Did you not see Rollie post about his looking like he has a power base, he doesn't.

The difference in best and worst times for the 3/4 court sprint was only an elapsed time of .65 seconds—not even two-thirds of a second! I know the distance was small, but I'd expect there to be more of a difference between a speedy guard and a lumbering seven-footer.

Interestingly enough, the slowest time wasn't by a seven-footer. Technically, Georgetown center Henry Sims, who posted a time of 3.81 seconds, is only 6'11". But perhaps his relatively slow time was the reason that he went undrafted, which was to the surprise of many. Jared Sullinger, who is 6'9", shared this time with Sims.

And the fastest time? Not even a guard. Not even a guy c

Another rough time for Jared Sullinger, who posted a time of 12.77 seconds—the worst time by over .4 seconds! Second to last was Festus Ezeli, with 12.35 seconds, and right after him came, again, Henry Sims, with 12.33 seconds.

Jared Sullinger looked just awful, but we expected that.

From all the weight loss stories I have seen through the years if the person doesn't face their emotive side and work out their particular triggers and get on top of that they more often than not put the weight back on , hopefully for Jared's sake he takes a good look in the mirror and asks himself why he would get to over 300 pounds in season.
When the losses pile up or he bricks too many threes and gets burned on d, or doesn't get the minutes he wants only then will he be able to test this new found desire.Hopefully for his sake he has turned the corner for the long haul.

i am not a fan of people that bully or gloat or feel that they have that right because so in so is a pro-
sully and his weight olynck  hair and  he#s too soft, avery and turner( and i am quilty of screaming at the tv at turners unexplainable lapses-
i remember green-that guy had his heart cut out and everybody thought he should all of the time play flat out-who knows what inner pschycological scars that had not fully healed--the guy was lucky to be alive-
my son loved basketball and i groomed him to be the best of three generations of my family,he grew up in england and i started him young had him dribble everyday to school with his left hand ,juggling balls for dexterity  all the fakes rollie had taught me and that a good pass was worth 3 points BUT  he played for the joy of the game,i  had played like it was war and angry-well i robbed him of the joy by hounding that kid,get tough, take the shot, don't let him push you ,your not hurt, your not tired ,your not to sick
all i could see was a 6-5 point guard ,amidextrous who was fastest on squad, great vertical and could shoot with huge wingspan-he stopped being my son and a person
after his final season of premier league and a injury in quarter finals of national championship-he put the ball down and has never picked it up-
now i only  have the joy of watching the celts rebuild-

Rollie Mass,

I hope that you and your son have a very special relationship now!!!  Thanks for sharing.

The only game I saw live last season was the game against the Kings (Cousins got ejected when he didn't like the picks Marcus Smart was setting). What I saw that night was Cousins eating Zeller alive and the only guy on the team who was able to stand his ground at all was Sullinger. That's important.

He's gotta find a way to stay strong be be in good enough condition to play full games. If he can do that, there's no reason he can't be a 20-10 guy this season.

  • No no no, not THAT "Eric M Van".
Word has it he's working diligently at the Lucas camp.

Lets hope he is working hard. If he gets beat out by Amir and Lee his career will be in trouble and his lifetime earnings will be much lower. To his credit he did make it back for the end last year nd didn't Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.coming offthe bench

after being chastized properly for my understanding of power base and, after reviewing his vertical and sprint time against the worst times, he is one of them-
whatever you call it,something has enabled him to score and withstand cousins size and bulk and i just used a generic understanding of power base
-i don't see how sully has made it this far with stevens idea of space and pace
-maybe sully is a one off
with free agency and all the celts draft picks,he is vunerable-we now have a guy off the charts p111 and sully below the charts  and the best 6th man short guy

And checking some of the rest of the pics, what the heck is Kobe and LeBron doing there? I hope Lakers and Cavs fans are equally livid that they aren't training in their team's facilities as some people are here with Sully not being in Boston right now.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
