Yes, I probably want Lawson more.

Lawson + Gallinari for Lee + Rozier + Evan Turner  (I like Rozier, but he takes the place of the "first round draft pick" going there)

PJ3 and Jerebko pick up backup minutes at SF

It creates problems for roster imbalance, but we had them already and it upgrades our talent hugely which would be necessary for a trade or to bring in a FA.  Celts could be a 45-50 win team in the east with a roster of:

Lawson/IT2/Smart
AB/Smart
Gallo/PJ3/Jerebko
Sully/Olynyk
Amir/Zeller

Hunter, Young, Mickey go to D-league

I don't love it, but I don't love where we currently are either.

Galloinari is a talented scorer, that is often injured. He doesn't play defense very well, actually kind of like David Lee.

IMO You can only have so many of this "type" of player on your team, or your team begins to loose consistently.

Golden State knew this, they replaced this type of player with a solid, tough, two-way player (Draymond). Now Denver wants to unload Gallo.

I don't want to trade away a young, solid two way player, for a player of this "type" that will be a free agent next year, and be gone. It's really short sighted.

Lawson is a good player but I don't think his game and the amount of touches he needs translates to the type of team CBS is trying to build. We basically have a player like Lawson as our Sixth Man already and I think that's more than enough.

All-in-all with a player like Lawson, you won't be a contender if he is the best player on your team.

Denver wants a 1st round pick and a young player like Smart for Drunken master Ty Lawson presumably the same for one-footed Gallinari.

So 2 picks that could turn out to be a franchise players and 2 promising players for 2 unwanted players.

I think most folks would want Faried, can't imagine Denver will part with him though. I'd imagine a rebuild would involve him if anything.

at first thought no. lawson is short, like what 6 foot maybe, this would give the Cs the smallest guards in the entire league. you know what youre getting with gallo prob 65 games streaky shooter but not super efficient and slacks on defense. but if they could potentially trade lawson for something else i would be for it just to get someone at a position thats sorely needed, considering crowder isnt as big a threat on offense. any combination of bradley, olynyk, lee, PJIII, young, JJ and draft picks would work for me.

also why does everyone want to move smart to SG or the 2 spot? hes the same size as bradley who many consider undersized and is a worse shooter

this gallo obsession is leaving me in a state of disbelief.

the guy is a .416 career shooter. he's always injured, his defense is mediocre at best. he'll be a free agent at the end of the season and will want to be overpaid.

why on earth should we give up any assets for this guy? we could get him in the offseason for free anyways.

and we're not contending right now, and when we ARE contending i doubt he'll be part of the equation. i'd rather let crowder, hunter, jones, and jerebko take those minutes instead.

and if we're to dump bradley and sully i want cap space and prospects in return - something with the chance to turn into something better than gallo, guys of his quality aren't going to lead us to title 18, we'd just be filling up our roster with mediocrity.

will add in case it was missed, there is a good chance lawson serves some jail time and will definitely be suspended by NBA for some time. He has now had 4 DUI's. A condition of his last DUI was that he wouldn't have alcohol. These are not parking tickets, feels a little slimy to discuss him at the present moment as an "asset." My two cents.

If the nuggets are gonna blow it up I would want Faried in any trade I'd be making. Crowder and Faried on the same team would be a one-two punch of dreadlocked aggression and would be awesome to watch.
