It's very rare in basketball to get a great player with great instincts, BBIQ, skills, burning desire, but that is not a great athlete. Our own beloved Larry Bird might be the best example ever! What there is, is lots of players that are insanely athletic, but have hardly any of the other attributes! James Young is a prime example! Nice guy, very athletic, but not a "basketball player"! His only true basketball skill is shooting, and right now he's not even doing that!
Maybe a change of scenery would do him well---take some of the pressure off---I don't know, but right now he is not roster worthy.
I don't remotely "hate" JY, but rather feel sorry for so many really good "basketball players" who could never make it, or been given the chance in the pros, or even college, because they weren't great athletically. You see it so much today in all sports---hence the "combines", where athleticism is valued more than talent!
