That's the problem. There are plenty of great D league players that just can't hack playing against MEN in the NBA. He is one of them. I watched every game of his in the NBA and NOT ONE game did he impress me in any facet. He's a D league superstar but I am a Boston Celtic fane - not a Red Claw fan.
Do some research on young. I don't feel like going to deep on it rn but:
-he's really young
-led Kentucky to championship game at 18
-has physical tools and shooting stroke
-battled injuries/car forced him to miss preseason/SL
-dominated D-league at 19
-in the past 2 months he's been praised by brad multiple times ad league coach called him the best he's seen in 8 years and said he could make an impact in the nba and he's supposedly added 3 inches to the vertical and 15 lbs of muscle. He has also been labeled a guy who would have been a top 10 pick this year had he stayed in school.

Giving up on him now seems really foolish to me.

Casual fans won't understand the value of Young I guess. They don't see a developing player, but rather a bust straight out of college.

Is anyone else really excited to watch James Young and RJ Hunter play together a few years down the line?

I am NOT excited to see James Young play any more. He's a D league player for life.
