one other point in hunters favor is he studies the game and has watched hrs of tapes and will read defenses on both ends better-but will he be able to get over the top of screens-
can't wait to see young with 3 inches added to vertical and 15lbs of muscle and a year under his belt-

So how do you know that Hunter studies the game and watches hours of tape?

And about Young, I would like to see him actually look worthy of actually playing in the NBA. He has shown nothing to date.

I read that too in one of the many articles I've read since the draft lol. He's a film room junkie apparently. Also is all about conditioning and healthy eating. Kid is gonna be legit. And also, young is 19. Let's let the KID develop. In 4 years a 1,2,3 of Smart/Hunter/Young could be unreal shooting/D. Hopefully we can get lucky next year and get Simmons for the 4. Oh man.

The 6.5 Ft's a game are huge in College.  7 3s and 6.5 fts  These are the makings of a scorer more so than just a shooter.  I like the potential he has and I'm looking forward to he and Young making each other work their asses off.

hunter was taking three's from new york city and had defenses stacked on him, james has put the work in so far off season building himself up and rj has that slight frame-but so did prince
,prince ran his routes as deceptively as anyone ive seen-stuff you can't teach just so fluid and economical and timed

Yes I like thinking about other shooters who were slight, like Rip Hamilton and T. Prince. If DA stumbled on a poor mans version of either I'd be ecstatic.
Celtics fan for life.

Hey guys, I was watching this draft workout video from Hunter, and it was incredible. I don't think he missed once during the full video.

I know.

Anyways, I still have a hard time envisionimg a role for him with us. He, same as Young, will really need to wow us for them to get a chance. But we'll see.

Yeah but Young couldn't hit that many shots edited or not.

From that alone Hunter > Young.

I did actually like the RJ Hunter pick

I actually feel he's going to be a lot better than James Young, who I personally wasn't impressed with at all in the limited time he played.

Very streaky shooter.
Did you ever watch all his games in the d league?

Both of them are going to be great for us. The more shooters, the better.

That's the problem. There are plenty of great D league players that just can't hack playing against MEN in the NBA. He is one of them. I watched every game of his in the NBA and NOT ONE game did he impress me in any facet. He's a D league superstar but I am a Boston Celtic fane - not a Red Claw fan.

If he gets consistent minutes in the NBA, he will be better. Players can't just light it up with just 15 minutes a game every once in a while.
