I've never bought the argument that players are looking for an easier path to the title. One would think these guys are competitive enough that they feel they can beat anyone with the right team around them.

Hell, with PP alone we probably take Cavs to 5! We aren't subtracting anything substantial to add all of them so it means we have a buttload to add more in the next 3 years to replace PP and anyone else!!

Oh, I would take Monroe over Lopez too if the money works.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Sean Grande seems pretty optimistic.....

People have been saying for years to get Kevin Love to Boston, you wouldn't exactly have to twist his arm.

Too soon?

between our backup point guard, Robin Lopez and 48 year old Paul Piece (who we don't even have on our roster), I don't know how Kevin Love could possibly say no.
Don't forget his best friend Kelly Olynyk ;D!

Woj is getting fed garbage . love is staying with the cavs. If he won a ring, there would of been a better chance he left

How about this scenario:

On draft day --

Bradley + #16 for Gerald Henderson + #9

Draft Stanley Johnson @ #9

Free agency --

Sign Robin Lopez

Trade Olynyk + Turner + Wallace + 2016 Mavs 1st for Rudy Gay + Stauskas

Sign Kevin Love

Re-Sign Crowder

Smart / Thomas
Henderson / Young / Stauskas
Gay / Johnson / Crowder
Love / Sullinger
Lopez / Zeller

So Woj is saying this, not Love?  Title is misleading.
Sources told Woj this. So it's not just conjecture. It's presumably an agent, or someone who works for one of the teams.

Smart
Bradley
Pierce
Love
Lopez

That lineup is solid next year, but what you have to remember is we presumably would be doing this without giving up anything more than what it would take to move Crash. That would leave us in an unbelievable position to add talent around Love.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Your shtick is getting stale. You should try mixing in some optimism every now and then.

What the hell is going on!!!!!!!!

That sounds like a horrible team by the way. Lakers sounds better with Okafor to be honest.

That lineup seriously lacks size and athleticism, not to mention the best ball-handler and passer of the bunch is Pierce, which is a problem given how old he is.  Pierce should be a sixth man who mostly plays the 4 and sometimes the 3, at this point.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

When did you speak to him?
Did you get his number from Jordan Mickey?

:p

That doesn't strike me as a particularly strong selling point for either of the three guys.
Danny Ainge: "Now Kevin, do you want to play with Kyrie and LeBron or join us in Boston where you could play with a guy pondering his retirement and Robin Lopez??" ;D!!

They will probably try to sell him on being coached by Brad Stevens and playing with a young group of guys that has a lot of potential ::)

Does Love want to be the third wheel on a team where he's probably going to get the blame whenever the Cavs don't win the title or does he want to prove his naysayers wrong by being the best player on a team that not only makes the playoffs but has a legitimate shot at a title?

I think this argument can appeal to Love, especially if the Cavs offer him less than the max and he feels disrespected.

Considers Marcus Smart a backup point guard, yet is practically giddy at the thought of trading for Anthony Bennett.
