I voted "no."  Portis should definitely be in the mix, but "without hesitation" is a bit strong.  There will be other appealing guys there as well.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I like Booker...but you forgot about the fact that James Young needs to get minutes, and he gets then mostly at the SG position.
We can't just give up on Young at this early time, that would be really short sighted, and self defeating. He needs to play.

I say go big with 16, a PF or a C.

(If we can get a established top SG by Free agency, like Butler, that would be different.)

Young can play some 3 and you have to take BPA regardless of position right now.

I would love having that problem. If he drops to 16, he'll be BPA. Neither will be ready to make major contributions next year, so let them fight for the spot for the next season of two. Sounds like both would benefit, especially Young now that he seems to be aware that it's an uphill battle to make it in the league. Agree with this post, too, in that Young could play minutes at 3. I would imagine that if he is big and strong enough, that would end up being a more natural position for him.

I definitely take Booker but I don't think he'll be available at 16.

If we still have the pick, then I'd go with either Lyles, Portis or Dekker if those guys are still there.

RJ Hunter seems to be moving up as well.

No way he gets by Charlotte at 9 or even Miami at 10...

I give Booker about a 20% chance of being available. If not, I'm beginning to really like Looney's upside and ability to present mismatches at the 3. I'd be OK with Portis too- the sum of his and Smart's tenacity might blow the roof off of the garden.
