I've seen him as low as #18 in mocks this week yet he isn't being discussed much as a potential Celtic. They could definitely use a sharpshooter and depth at the 2. He's also (I think) the youngest player in the draft.

only if he's BPA.  would look to use him in a trade for a lower pick and getting another asset

He probably will be, assuming no other major slippages.

There is no one we "have to take" at 16. Not Booker, not Frank, not anyone. Take BPA.

IF he's available I don't see anyone being a better player available than him.

Probably BPA if he falls to #16. He has potential to be a Kay Thompson level talent, so getting him at #16 would be an absolute steal IMO.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I like Booker...but you forgot about the fact that James Young needs to get minutes, and he gets then mostly at the SG position.
We can't just give up on Young at this early time, that would be really short sighted, and self defeating. He needs to play.

I say go big with 16, a PF or a C.

(If we can get a established top SG by Free agency, like Butler, that would be different.)

Young can play some 3 and you have to take BPA regardless of position right now.

You take RJ Hunter because he'll end up being the better player.  8)

Don't fall for Booker hype.

He needs to play this year, and Booker doesn't. By the time Booker is ready to play Young should have gained enough weight to play the 3.

Can't go wrong with both at this low in the draft pecking order anyways.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply

Booker is in the mix but not a sure-fire pick at #16.

Surprised he is a potential lottery pick.

Surprised he is a potential lottery pick.

Why? He's the #1 best shooter and youngest player in the draft. He's not a terrible defender or bad athlete (though he isn't great at either).

Your killing me with the "BPA" reference. I couldn't figure out what it meant. I had to look it up. "Best Player Available". some of the abbreviations on this board are way over my head.
