The Knicks worked out Frank Kaminsky and Joshua Smith in addition to working out Trey Lyles and Kevon Looney yesterday, according to Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv (Twitter link).

With the recent rumors that the c's want to trade up for Myles Turner, is it possible Danny is just trying to get up in the 8-10 range, so he can then swap that player with knicks for #4 ?

Say he can do

Bos sends: Sully(to replace monroe), #16,#28
Det sends: # 8

Then

Bos sends: AB and # 8
KYK sends: #4

So it would basically be AB,Sully, # 16, #28  for the # 4 pick ( c's might have to throw in an additional pick or prospect as well, Young or Dallas pick?)

Would you be willing to give that up to move up to # 4 ? (Winslow,Prozingis, Mudiay )

If we get rid of Bradley AND get a top 4 pick out of it I would be ecstatic

Get "rid" of Bradley?

This whole thought train on Bradley has been getting pretty ridiculous.

The kid is a good player on a fair contract.

I think this is probably due diligence. If that's not the case I think there are a lot of other teams who pick higher that the Knicks would prefer to deal with.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think that any trade for 4 is going to involve us taking on Calderon at $7million+ for the next two years. We won't have to throw in Young or the extra draft choice, just AB and 8 for 4 and Calderon. Howver, Detroit doesn't really need Olynyk that much as a stretch 4 since they just got Ilyasova. You may have to substitute either Young or Sullinger even if you don't want to.

I am a harsh critic of Sully and I think Bradley has his fault but this trade gives up too much.   I would rather simply trade Sully and the picks for number 8.   Sign a big like Love or Monroe and draft someone that can play.   HINT Bradley can play and he is proven.    He is not a prolific scorer or shooter by any means, he is a good defender, the odds are that no one we draft will have as much proficiency in these two skills.   Sully is on the other hand is a dud on D, I think we could find a guy that could replace his D easily.   But he is a nifty scorer, when he is not missing threes and a good rebounder.

We have a ton of holes, I think the draft is top heavy, I am not sure their will be a huge difference between four and eight unless someone drops named Towns.

You would give up 2 players of proven value and 2 draft picks for a player who may or may not be better than either guy we are giving up? Plus you make this trade with a division rival.

Hmmmm, we would clear about $9.5 Million in salary with these moves--
Plus, We could stretch Wallace, and then we would probably have enough money to sign TWO Max players, and draft Russell,Winslow or WCS...I say DO IT--!
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I think that trading away Bradley or Sully for a draft pick would be a huge mistake for this team and possibly a momentum killer for the progress they made this season. I'm not completely devoted to either player being in our future but the reality is that they are two of our best players and giving them up would just create gaping holes. Outside of Towns is anybody in this draft really worth giving up that much for?

Giving up #16, #28, Avery Bradley, and Sully for pick #4 in a three deep draft seems kind of insane to me.  If we want Turner, which I'm not sure we do, then we'd just stay at 8.  If we get to #4 we aren't taking  Turner.

Either we are praying one of Towns, Okafor, or Russell slip to 4 or we would stay at #8 and probably take Turner,  WCS, Winslow, or Hezonja, one of which would almost surely be available.

Maybe we are trying to land two top 10 picks.

TP - Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. I really hope we aren't the ones who are going to give up a huge haul for #4 since it really isn't any different than having #8-9 (in my mind). I would rather trade for more established players, but wouldn't mind a trade up with our picks this year for a guy like Turner, WCS, or even Johnson.

I don't really think it's a good trade, it's just that with all our future picks getting a top player for a ton of role players might be fine, because the role players (even decent ones) are all replaceable.

The money aspect is what throws me off here. I'm not sure this really balances out moneywise

In this scenario I think we'd best be served by stopping after getting the 8th pick from Detroit. I don't think jumping up to #4 by giving up Bradley is worth it.
