From what I read in this article is that we are targeting Myles Turner, and willing to trade down to get him. Thoughts?

I'd be thrilled.

Turner would have probably gone top 5, maybe higher, if he played anywhere but Texas.

M.Turner is a hard guy to get a handle on. I'd love to see how he well (or badly) he is moving now after reported improvements in his running / flexibility.

Certainly intriguing.

Turner is a more ingriging prospect than WCS who most have the Celtics associated with... He is younger and possibly still growing, Better offensively, can block shots, and has an NBA ready body...

I have no problem if they make this move

Can it be seen that the recent reports of us wanting to get rid of the 28th pick could be seen as a way to move up in the draft? At first I thought that was in reference to packaging Wallace and 28 to get rid of him.

I can see Miami being interested if we can send them a rotation guy, and #10 is about where Turner's slotted in most mocks.

AB and #28 for filler and #10?

#16 and #28 for #10?

KO and #28 for #10?

Etc.

What is this guy a five? Could he start for us like that ready?

Actually ignore my post above, never mind, I forgot this is Danny we're talking about (assuming he's the leak).

So, now that we've established that the C's *don't* want Turner...who do you think they have their eye on?

Alright so in business you are suppose to do best case/worst case scenario. Please correct me if you think I am wrong please.

Best Case:
Avery Bradley
4
Myles Turner(if he falls to 12)
Rodney Hood

This would be the core of the trade and the best case scenario, IMO. Myles and Rodney both fill gaps on our team as well.

I will finish the rest later unless someone already has

Hes  7' in shoes so yea... However he is still young, just turned 19 so there might be some growing room.. like Vonleah in Charlotte but I think he would be more NBA ready... Has an incredible jumper for a big man and I saw he has greatly improved his long range game too..

That's what I like to see, much rather have Turner over WCS. (Just my preference still think Willey will be good)

Even if he never fully develops his three, it would be great to have a high release 7 footer letting loose shots from that 19 ft KG spot. Borderline unarguable.

At 2:47 he does a move that reminds me of that Jack Sickma inverse pivot( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1KEWqgZmeE ). If he can nail that shot consistently that's some sustainable offense.

For all of the flack Turner gets for not being able to shut down true low post threats like an Al Jefferson or Jahleel Okafor he also pulls them out of the paint with his shot stopping them from roaming for blocks.

And hey it'd be a slow front court but if we signed Greg Monroe, Turner and he would be able to cover each other's deficiencies, it'd be reminiscent of the old Lakers front line of Bynum/Gasol but without Bynum's negligence and Gasol's hurt feelings.

He's quite a ways from really contributing, though. I'd be thrilled with him, but I really think we should go full-out tank mode again if we pick him. If we could get 2-3 lottery picks next year (Us, Dallas, Brooklyn) to add to Smart, Young, Sully, KO, and Turner that'd be an excellent start at building a contender that would start peaking right as James starts his downfall.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

It pains me as a Longhorn to say you're right.

Let's get him.

Ya thats what I want to happen. No matter what happens we have CBS and whatever team he puts o the floor will respect him and play hard.
