I'm honestly not all that interested in Aldridge for some reason... not going to complain if we get him, but for some reason he's not exciting me.

Rather go with Monroe if the chance is there.

LMA is either going to Texas or Portland. Boston is a non starter. He is also far too old for this team. Save the money for when the kids become good and tank for a few more seasons. Try to swing both picks to steal Embiid since Philly might be inclined to deal him.
I thought we were past the days of tanking :( . Anyways, we have Brooklyn tanking for us for the next few years.

I agree LMA is to old for this team but that doesn't mean have to tank I prefer to just find younger talent that's why I'd prefer Love. But why would we want Greg Oden err I mean Embiid? ???

Love has agreed by all accounts to head to LA and its a smart move. His uncle is a beach boy, he went to college there, his girl is from there etc...it's been a few years in the making but it's more or less done. Embiid is a better gamble than Banks 2.0. Can't teach size.

Texas team, probably San Antonio. Not gonna happen :/

Hope we draft well, whether we move up or not.

Supposedly he's not as interested in SA as Dallas.  Rick Bucher is the writer here and he's pretty connected.

Nothing to do with not liking him, I just have a feeling that his days as a PF are numbered and a decline may be on the horizon. His last playoffs were terrible, it was against Memphis, but it does give me some hesitation. Also, his price tag will be higher than the less experienced Max free-agents.

Past two seasons have seen a decline his shooting efficiency, which is his bread and butter, so it is concerning.

@Celtics4ever speak for yourself, your obsession with Sully makes one wonder when you find the time to focus on someone else.

It may be smart of him to slowly becoming a center sort of like KG and Duncan did in their 30's.  He may not like it like KG didn't but it could be the best thing for him.

Awesome.

I would LOVE to have Aldridge here.

He would make this team SOOOO much better.

For those that aren't interested in him, you probably just don't like winning players and don't want to see the Celtics become a winning team that can go deeper in the playoffs instead of just the 1st round.

If enjoy tanking and like Joel Embiid so much, watch the Sixers!!!

How do you know??!!!

And what's the obsession with Joel "probably never going to play a single game in my career" Embiid?

Aldridge is the best free agent on the market.

Acquire him and the Celts take a HUGE step in the right direction.

The idea is to go forward, not be stuck in the same position they're in now.

I agree.  Mark Gasol is close, though.

Rest assured your in the minority, someone must not stay up to watch the West Coast games?

I don't watch many West Coast games and even I know Aldridge is an amazing player and someone we NEED on this team.

LOL, apparently some people here think that if you're older than 25 years old, you're washed up and can't play anymore. Apparently, this should be the required picture perfect image, age-wise, of a Celtics player.

seems like some east coast bias on here.  LMA is an absolute beast and should be our 1a priority this offseason.

if he leaves Portland, it'll be to a team where he is the unquestioned leader.  none of the three texas teams offer that.

This seems like it'd be a pretty clear case of tampering. Publicly filming a recruiting video for another team's free agent before July 1st?
