Also of note WCS is at 12.  A spot Boston could reasonably get to.

They have Boston taking Looney at 16 and McCullough at 28
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Looney has been getting a lot of love in the statistical models I've looked at over at DraftExpress.com.  Seems like he could really be an underrated prospect, albeit with a relatively high bust potential (as is typical of UCLA products).

Sam Dekker is also falling, he was 10-15 on earlier mocks.

Interesting. I think Mudiay will be really good and I'd probably rank him third in the whole draft. But I'm probably just crazy lol.

Sam Dekker's lack of ability to create with the ball and general lack of lateral quickness and athleticism concerns me.  Looks like he might be a bit too much of a tweener, and his outside shot isn't even very special.

Interesting to see Porzingis rising. DraftExpress now has him at #3, and some teams reportedly have him at #2 on their own draft boards.

Dekker is very athletic.  Not sure why you think he isn't.

Good - this will ensure Danny being unable to move up for him. There are many other interesting options.

Why the hate for Porzingis? He fits CBS's desire for versatility AND is a rim protector with great mobility. He can spread the floor, and supposedly has a very high ceiling.

You're right.  I was misremembering part of the scouting reports I read on him at DX.  Re-reading it, my understanding is that he's straight line, coast-to-coast athletic, but lacks the agility and ball-handling ability to leverage that athleticism in the half-court.

Quote
He's also not the most advanced ball-handler around, as he's mostly a straight-line driver who uses spin moves and subtle change of speeds, but is nevertheless not the most creative guy around, as evidenced by his extremely low assist percentage (8.6%), which ranks as the second lowest rate among non-big men in our Top-100. Wisconsin rarely looked for him to emerge as a prolific pick and roll or isolation player, as that's not their style of play, but regardless doesn't appear to be his biggest strength as a prospect at the moment from the film we do have at our disposal.

Additionally, his short wingspan may make it difficult to finish some of the plays he does create around the basket in traffic in half-court settings.

Mudiay has just started working out after skipping the combine. Supposedly looked great Friday. Wouldn't be surprised to see him rise or fall though because of what teams are looking for. No one has a clue including the NYK as to what happens at #4. Doesn't make any sense for ORL at 5 with Payton having a good rookie season.  ORL picking Winslow instead would be the death knell for Aaron Gordon. I think ORL would be more interested in Porzingis if he was still on the board. I happen to think Porzingis is going to be very good and like both of this year's euros over Saric.

As for WCS, anything is possible as this year's one-dimensional Noel. He's quirky as a person; his advanced stats are not great (but may be useless since he was playing out of position); and an offensive liability who didn't improve much in 3 years. Could be at 4. Could be at 12 too. Only takes one team who really likes him.

RJ Hunter keep going up as well.
I thought I was the only one interested in him. He can be a steal. He's a complete player with no flaws. He only need some muscles.

Looney is the last thing we need. I can't deal with another under sized power forward...
Interesting how much Oubre has fallen as SI projects him at #20, and I don't believe that Rondae Hollis Jefferson will fall all the way to #27 that's too low for him. And i doubt that Cliff Alexander will be drafted that high :o
Jack of all trades, master of none.

I'm a big Looney fan, he has the chance to be really good. A lot of upside, the high variance type of player the C's need.

McCullough is a good fit at 28.

WCS is going to go top 10, I'd be shocked if he falls that far.
