Must be some VERY advanced analytics on him. Also when you have so many picks like we do guess it doesn't matter where you draft whom.
Apparently he blew away the competition in workouts. C's brass said he was better at escaping the trap in a 2-on-1 drill, and also defending the PG bringing up the ball.
The only stat I am seeing is 41% shooting and 30% from 3 averaging 35 min a game in college.
Those are some seriously bad #s. Literally it is a mini-Smart, just a bit smaller and faster. Not a point guard, and not a shooter. It just seems like a huge stretch. We need more size with our guards, and we need guards who can shoot. I am at a loss for how this helps us.
If you liked this guy as BPA, trade back for him, or if he is going get snagged up at 26 or 27 shouldn't we be really thinking about why we are drafting him at 16? I like DA but this is head scratching material. I hope I am wrong.
