Who do you take? No trades.

I'd have to go with Bobby Portis at 16. I'd be more than willing to trade Sully and/or Olynyk to free up time for him. I think he is going to be one of those players where people are like "how did he fall to 16?!"

Robert Upshaw or Justin Anderson at 28. I think one of them slips and would add a lot to the team as currently constructed.

Jordan Mickey or Aleksandar Vezenkov at 33. Mickey looks like he'd make a great big off the bench playing the PF/C. Vezenkov I'd send to Europe to develop.

George De Paula or Joseph Young at 44. I just like them.

16 it will really depend on who is available. If a guy like Oubre, Myles Turner or Booker slips then I think we should pick them. If not I would be fine with any of Portis, Looney, Lyles or RHJ.

28 a young player with high potential like McCullough, Mickey, or Wood. If Justin Anderson is there I think he would be the pick.

33. Foreign player, Vezenkov, Jaiteh, George De Paula

44. Connaughton, Hanlan or the best available foreign guy.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I would obviously choose the best player available at each spot, but if I got my wish the draft would be something like this:

#16; Kelly Oubre (pipe dream) or Rondae-Hollis Jefferson (Would be a nice replacement if Crowder leaves, and the guy would be deadly if he ever develops a good jumpshot).

#28; Robert Upshaw, Christian Wood, Justin Anderson (If available) or Tyus Jones (Could replace Pressey?)

#33; Chris McCullough (Showed a lot of promise before the knee injury), Jordan Mickey

#45; Would probably draft a player that I could stash in Europe:
Guillermo Hernangomez (Played well for Sevilla last season and I believe that he can get better), Mouhammadou Jaiteh (Has a lot of size, and could potentially get better).

You are no longer black, or brown, or yellow, or red! You are now GREEN, you are light GREEN, or dark GREEN!

16: Its high, but I go with Wood here because he doesn't make it to 28 and I think he becomes one of those special players.
28: Upshaw, yeah I take the chance.
33: Dakari Johnson.  A true center
45: Hanlan: nice combo guard for depth

This all said, no way we add four rooks to the roster.  Has to be a trade coming.  BTW, combine stats on Wood:

H/WO Shoes 6' 9.25"
H/W Shoes 6' 10.5"
Weight 216
Wingspan 7' 3.25"
Standing Reach 9' 3.5"
Body Fat 14.7

Hanlan did poorly in the 5 on 5 nba combine games

I rather take vaughn, tokoto, hunter at 45

Would love to trade up to get Oubre, (I know we can't,) but that would be my 16th selection if hes there absolutely no question. I think he'll flourish in the NBA.

Smart
Young
Oubre

I see Oubre as a bonafide 3, whereas Young I saw him as a 2.

Young does not have the quickness to play the two. Rebounds like a 3. He bulks up to 225-230, he can play sf .

Oubre has ways to go in adding strength and weight department

I like oubre but one of pacers, hornets or heat will take him.

using DX as a basis for available players

#16 RHJ ( if MKG went #2 then RHJ shouldn't be a reach at #16)

#28 Dakari Johnson

#33 De Paula (draft and stash)

#45 Tyler Harvey

Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

The same things about Young can be said about Middleton who did well at SG this year.

"The Boston College combo guard showed his offensive talent on Friday both as a scorer and playmaker. Hanlan did a tremendous job playing at different speeds and stopping on a dime to change directions, allowing him to slice through the defense and get to the line or kick out to teammates. The Canadian guard, who left Boston College after his junior season, proved he's comfortable operating both on and off the ball. He beat the pick and roll big defender on a couple of different occasions with crossovers and combo moves, and also attacked closeouts from the wing spots, showing a strong first step and solid burst. Hanlan didn't shy away from contact in the paint and got to the line 10 times in two games. Although he did most of his damage attacking the rim, Hanlan is a very capable shooter with compact mechanics and a solid release point. Although he didn't break out with any monster performances, Hanlan showed glimpses of his offensive talent both as a scorer and capable playmaker. The 6' 4” guard has solid value as a second round pick who projects as a scoring point guard who's able to also run an offense and facilitate when necessary.
