I'd be psyched to add Mickey at 28.

Me too.  I really hope he drops to 28.  If not I hope we move up and get him.

Sullinger , KO, Zeller will all be glad they can play beside someone that can bail them out from time to time.   Make life easier for the rest of the team also

No offense to Mickey or the OP, but unless you're talking about a LeBron- or Durant-level talent, I'm totally jaded right now against power forwards who are too short and/or not great shooters. I've just had enough of it—enough of undersized bigs, and enough of "combo" guards who can't dribble or pass or score. I know that legit bigs don't grow on trees, but seriously, Danny, come on, now ...

To me Mickey has an Ibaka type game, explosive leaper and athlete, a little undersized but he has the wingspan and reach of a bigger player.  You saw in the Kentucky video his ability to compete with guys like WCS.

I saw LSU a couple times, and Martin actually stood out more, much more polished offensive player and a little bigger, but Mickey's athleticism may make him a better pro prospect.  I'd take him at 28.

later in the first and in the second round teams have to find guy who can make it in the league. Alot of these undersized bigs and combo guards make it in the league because they have skills that work for role players. Every pick can't logically be a shot at landing a star. A player like Mickey may ultimately be able to fill the role of rotational hustle/defensive big man. Thompson is showing in the playoffs the value guys like that can have.

Absolutely. Tristant Thompson is only 6'8 with 7'1 wingspan. But is strong, good leaper that can really rebound

Mickey will be the same kind of player but shot blocking as the specialty (leader with 3.6 bpg last season). Mickey is also a good rebounder, offense is starting to come along.  Most important like someone else has stated he was able to guard guys like wcs. He has a strong base . is 240 pounds.

If mickey was 220 pounds ,  I would not pick him at 28 or 33

Can I just say thank you for posting a video of the prospect doing work against a quality opponent. Prospect hype videos that show you silky lobs and brutal blocks against cupcake opponents set to music make me so freaking angry.

Np. I was disappointed there was no highlights of JM.  This guy is underrated.  I know he will impress the Celts at the ind workout. His defense first mentality/maturity will be compatible with CBS system. His shotblocking, rebounding is what the doctor ordered

But with Ind workouts i think his stock will keep climbing. Teams will see  that a guy like lyles, portis are not better. Just different type of players. In some ways mickey better for the nba due to his wingspan, explosiveness plus 240 pounds

I think JMartin is a big reason he had those highlights.   I bet UK was more focused on him than JMickey.

I like Martin but he avoided doing any of the drills and 5 on 5 games.  Maybe he has a promise already?

short wingspan and good but not amazing max vertical (34 inch) is a bit of a concern.

Also re watchting that Kentucky vs Lsu game, he was good in the 1st half and did not provide much impact in the 2nd half.  It was Mickey that did

Does not have a standout skill. Needs a jump shot but struggled with consistency.   So I would have to give the edge to Mickey between the two.
