It starts with Monroe, that's the guy we need to get.
Monroe would help for scoring and rebounding. Not much for shot blocking. Not really sure also If I want to throw 16-17 million a season for him
If he can give you 16/10/3 on around 50% shooting on a nightly basis, then I'm all for it.
I believe his size (At 6'11" / 250 lbs with a 7'5" wingspan) and low post game could completely transform this team's offense.
In that spirit, and even though I like Monroe, I'd rather make a trade for Vonleh.
I do like Vonleh a lot as a prospect, always did. While his current ability is minimal, I think his potential is absolutely through the roof.
That said, I'm starting to get weary of all the young "nobody now with potential" guys we keep acquiring. I think it's always nice to have 2 or 3 of those kind of guys, but right now it feels like we have about 8 of them.
I'd rather pick up a legit starter and borderline-star like Monroe rather than add another such player, but if we could sign Monroe and trade for Vonleh then I'd definitely be up for that.
Wonder if the Hornets would trade Vonleh for Turner and a late first?
