"All the negativity that’s on Celticsblog sucks. I’ve been around when Kyrie Irving was criticized. I’ve been around when Al Horford was insulted. And it stinks. It makes the greatest team, greatest fans in the world, lousy."

Say goodbye to reaching the final four next year?

Maybe not even elite 8

If Calipari stays they will probably be able to recruit enough good freshman to be alright.

They already have commitments from 2 of the top 10 players in the country, and half of the top 10 haven't even picked a school yet.  Kentucky is being considered by all of those top players.  I hate 'em, but I imagine they'll be just fine next year.

Why do you hate Kentucky?

Towns, Lyles, WCS, Booker are going in the 1st round
Dakari Johnson 2nd round

Harrison Twins probably will be undrafted

I think Dakari Johnson will be picked in the early second round. I don't know about the Harrison twins, I feel like they will both get drafted, probably on the second round. I just can't see both going undrafted.

If that's true, I'd love to pick up DJ with the Philly 2nd rounder.

I like Dakari and think he will be good. I would definitely draft him with Philadelphia's pick.

Depends if Danny likes Upshaw instead or picks upshaw with our 2nd 1st.   He may also have plans to finally bring in Colton Iverson who is like a Dakari Johnson (bruiser type center).

The one thing I don't think Danny will do is use all picks to be in uniform next season.  Package the picks for a better pick or established player or draft 2 and stash the other 2

I like Dakari more than Colton but that's mainly because I watched Dakari play much more than Colton. And because I like Kentucky  :) I also think it's cool that he was James Young's team mate. But I agree that we will make trades to move up on draft night. I would take Dakari over Upshaw because Dakari has no character concerns but I would still be interested in Upshaw if Dakari is already picked.

Maybe not even elite 8

Even with all 7 leaving UK still has Ulis, Pothress and Lee who would be starters on all but maybe 5 current NCAA teams. Then add to them the espn ranked #1 center Labissiere and espn ranked#1 PG Briscoe as players who have commited and that is another tough starting 5. Not to mention the fact that they are still in the running for Thon Maker, Jaylen Brown and just about ever other non declared elite highschool player.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
They will be fine.
They've got the number one ranked Skyscraper Skal- he's like WCS and Towns rolled into one...
haha well I dunno if he's that good, but they'll be enormous with him in the middle on both ends.

Picture a mixture between Marcus Camby and Dirk Nowitzki in college....gulp...I'm serious.
Who knows how good he'll be but he has an NBA ready stroke and some incredible euro moves at 7 foot tall and 18 years old.

We are witnessing a new generation of players who have watched Dirk, Lebron, Durant with their ball skills and shooting ability with tremendous size creating these hybrid monster small/power forwards with three point range and now even rim protection.

We'll eventually see a Kevin Garnett type of player that dominates both ends but can also hit the three point shot instead of KG's long jumpshot inside the arc.

Pretty exciting time to be an NBA fan.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Can a player go back to college if not drafted?
