Funny every blog that has teams near our record , Heat , Hornets etc .......they all are saying draft the same two guys .....bunch of college kids all dreaming about the big GIFT.

iF the Celtics get somebody star type good , it will be pure luck or DA will gave to trade up with. Some Team for assets......that is if he feels there is somebody worth doing that for.......it's a crap shoot basically.

Tanking a whole season is for idiots .  Phillys GM would be fired if  I owned the team.

Depends how the chips fall for philly.

Embiid could be healed and they could land towns or okafor. That could allow them to flip Noel. If Minny fell to three would they want to draft mudiay when they have Rubio Lavine and wiggins or potentially trade the rights to mudiay for Noel and allow KG to mentor Nerlens.

It's all hypothetical and I don't know but Philly might come out of this looking like geniuses. Sure it cost them two years of tanking - not different from our last two years especially if we miss the playoffs - but if it means drafting a core that can compete for 10-15 years it's a no brainer.

Assuming they get a haul like (healthy) embiid, Towns/Okafor, Saric, laker pick, mudiay?/Noel.

I don't want either of them.

You saved me the time to post the same thing. TP.

Does not appear that you used that time wisely.

Won't be an issue for us, both will be off the board by our pick, but I'd take Kaminsky first..

I don't see how Kaminsky doesn't go top ten in this draft.  He just outplayed Okafor and Towns in back to back games.  He's been the best player in college basketball the last two years on one of the very best teams.

I'd take a tougher Kelly Olynyk.  Kelly's already a decent prospect.  If he were as tough as Frank Kaminsky, he'd easily be one of the top three players in his class right now.

I am convinced that Kaminsky is the real deal.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

It was sad the wisconsin guards try to play hero ball instead of throwing it down to Kaminsky. Against Okafor, throw it to him. Against a smaller player dont.

Bo Ryan messed up in the end. Needed to double team jones and pass it to kaminsky 24/7. Tell him to shoot it unless a shooter is wide open

A senior outplayed a couple of freshman? He should have considering he was national player of the year. He won't be doing that in the NBA tho. Kaminsky will probably be the better player early on but there's other players I'd definitely want ahead of him on draft night.

Dekker was a better sophomore player than Kaminsky but hasn't improved a lot as a junior.  Kaminsky has shown major improvement every single year in college and just won the Wooden award.  It honestly looks like his floor is a better version of KO.

I can't predict what will happen with Dekker but I'd bet money that it Kaminsky lasts until the 15th pick or so, he will turn out to be a better NBA player than at least 5 or 6 of the guys picked ahead of him.

Mike

KO was arguably better than Kaminsky in his senior year statistically. KO tore college up.

For people saying Frank is "tougher" than KO, you should really watch some KO college games. I thought Kaminsky was very tough in that championship game, but let's not undersell KO and who he was in college. The guy was all over the place in the paint on offense like we just saw from Frank. KO likes to play the post, but he has struggled to adapt his strength and length to the NBA. Frank has better length (seemingly..), but will he have the strength to play his game in the NBA or will he have to adapt his game ala Olynyk and sacrifice some of his perceived "toughness"? Who knows.

Neither. Both have glaring holes. Dekker played far outside of his true ability in the tourney, and Kaminsky is a stretch 4 that can't defend in the NBA. I would makes drastic moves to get into the top 4 or 5 in this draft, or settle for a younger guy with higher upside.

Kaminsky all day.

Right attitude and work ethic .  Seems very sturdy too.

Doesn't mind contact. Or ruff play .....McCale ish

Easy top ten .

DA should trade to get the 10 th pick ......if Celtics happen to beat Detroit and Mil.

Agree.  His ballhandling and footwork look amazing for someone that tall.  Kaminsky would be much more highly regarded if he wasn't so skinny and didn't look so dorky.  He looked pretty pathetic in street clothes receiving the Naismith award.  If he adds significant size and strength he could be an excellent pro.

The your only guy thinking this I wager.  Not in the NCAAs, KO wilted under the pressure.

Sure he had 26 points but he was 8-22. 4 TO's, zero blocks and 1 foul.

Kamisky is a way better shooter, he did not kill his team shooting 8-22 like KO did his final college game.   He shot 7-16, had less TO's took his team to the championship game.

These are game logs, not opinion of flawed memory.  Kamisky looked like McHale at times last night.  That is a pretty high compliment from me, as I hate comparisons.

I think Dekker woke up last night, K Man for me between the two.

Kaminsky looked like Kevin McHale?  You mean the actor from Glee, right? Give me a break.
