Immediately thought it was Celtics April fools but saw it was posted today.

This is very interesting if true, even if he only gets 10-15 minutes a game easing back in. The 4 and 5 rotation seems to be doing well right now with Bass, Jerebko, Zeller, and KO.

Hope this doesn't hurt Jerebko minutes.   I love what he brings to table

LOL @ people being worried about Sullinger being back because he might take away Jerebko's minutes.
it made me chuckle also.

Hopefully Sully lost the weight he said. The initial reports said he lost 15 pounds. Maybe more by now. I'm curious to see how he plays.

Quote
Stevens has stressed the defensive DNA of this team and with Jared's return, said that the team won't sacrifice it's "defensive versatility."
Sounds like CBS is not thrilled, I'd rather if he got into shape than played.  This could hurt our chemistry this late in the game and the running game.
Hey remember the posters who argued with us that Sully was a good defender earlier in the season?

I wonder what they have to say to that quote by Stevens.

Article from about 5 minutes ago, featuring lots of Stevens quotes:

http://boston.cbslocal.com/2015/04/03/celtics-stevens-sullinger-in-much-better-condition/

“I think it’s great that he is fully healed, number one,” said Stevens. “He got out of the boot a couple of weeks ago, and has been X-rayed and MRI’d almost every other week, and the healing has been fantastic. He’s been on the court a little bit, doing some up-and-down and 1-on-1 work, but we haven’t had a chance to practice so he hasn’t engaged on 5-on-5 like he will in a game.

“The way I’m looking at it this weekend, and I’ve talked to Jared about it, is he’s available,” continued Stevens. “He’ll probably play a limited role, especially this weekend, and we’ll see how he feels after this weekend and go from there.”

Celtics president Danny Ainge had some strong words about Sullinger just a few weeks ago, saying the big man was not where he should be in his conditioning. Stevens said he’s seen Sullinger work very hard over the last few months, and is happy he’ll be back on the floor.

“Change happens over the course of a long period of time, but from everything I’ve watched he’s working at a great level and is in much better condition than he’s been,” said Stevens. “I’ve read and seen some things where he’s been very accountable… Here is a guy who wants to be a part of this team and help this team. He came into my office yesterday and said he wanted to help in any way he can. That’s a great thing for a pretty accomplished young player to come in and say.”

Thx for sharing the quotes. TP.

It's good to see Sully wanting to compete. I don't think anyone can question his competitiveness.

I wonder who's minutes will go down.  Bass or everyone's favorite Swede?

You mean I'm not everyone's favorite Swede?
of course you are. but expect your minutes at cb to go down.  ;)

Sorry it took me a while to respond.  I had to log off for awhile.

I wonder how good of a shape he can be in trying to recover from an injury, then getting back to general condition.

Likely he wont play many min from now until the end of the season. Dont think he plays the next few games

He'll play.  Can't announce he's avaialble and then not play him.

C's also have a few off days between Toronto and Detroit.  The team should get a full practice in on Monday, which will help work Sully back in with some of his new teammates.  But if he's healthy, it's useful to see how the combination of him and Jerebko work on the floor, as well as he and IT.

available does not mean automatic minutes.  Do you see Shav playing?

Jerebko and KO have done just fine as the 2nd frontcourt pair.   Sully should comeback once he is 100 percent healthy and in the shape he promised he is going to comeback in

He needs to "add" to this team bc we are on a playoff hunt, not "experiment" or comeback bc of other reasons

just curious, but how does one actually bet tp like this?  ???
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Having said that  ^  if he his healthy this is a major upgrade for the team, as he was probably the best player on the team all year long.

Easy to come up with conspiracy theories here, right?  Didn't he get benched at one point for showing up late to games?   He probably has a bad attitude and poor work ethic.  The idea that they faked his injury and told him to get his act together is a stretch, but who knows.
