Wow this is a big boost at this point in the season.

For all his detractors Sully is hands down the Cs best and most complete big. Should really help get this team in the playoffs and possibly steal a game or two from ATL. He has had nice stats lines against them this year including 17pt 15rb in there last match up.

As others have mentioned this also could open up Sully for a potential off-season move. If he is healthy and shows well in the last few games and the playoffs DA could be in a position to flip him.

It's nice he can dress and sit on the bench .

He might help , iF the C's were to make the playoffs......BIG. iF there  :-X

Looking forward to seeing IT and Sullinger playing together.

We just got better.

Know one envisioned this. I hope this doesn't back fire. He kind of insinuated that he was on a campaign to get in better shape for next year.

I hope this doesn't mean "take it or leave it" attidude for all his conditioning talk.

Is there anyone else who feels that they handled this the wrong way?  I mean, imagine how crazy the Garden would go in the following scenario:

Celtics down by 6 with about three minutes to go.  All of a sudden, a masked man rushes down the aisle and into the game.  Starts chucking threes left and right.  After the victory, he whips off his mask with Gorilla Monsoon Tommy Heinsohn screaming, "NO, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!  IT'S SULLY, HE'S BACK!," after which, he body slams the Greek Freak and runs off the court, high-fiving the people in Section 21.

That's some advanced medicine they've used in there... I hope.  :P
Goal for next season: Top 2 seed.
Say goodbye to: Turner, Zeller, Sully.

I am really happy about this.  Even though I've been holding firm that I want the C's to miss the playoffs, I am really glad that the season ends with Sully healthy and hopefully contributing.  Helps his off-season value immeasurably.

Interesting.

I hadn't been on here for a couple of days and assumed this was a left over April Fools joke.

Just saw a tweet that he lost 20 lbs. If so thats pretty good. Also doesn't seem like Stevens is all the pumped to have him back. We shall see how it plays out. If we make the playoffs he is a great player to have if we want to make some noise.

Stevens never seems all pumped up about anything in his life,, except for that play the other day featured in the front page.

Paraphrasing here...

The asked Sullinger who was pushing for him to return, him or the team? His response was 50/50.

I'm really wondering if the reason he's back, even if it's in limited minutes, is to showcase him in a potential move this summer. It would be much harder to trade him away if he was out for the season with an injury.

No clue. Teams that have a need for a PF and have assets. Sacramento comes to mind. They're going to have a top 10 pick and a package surrounding Sulliner, our Clips pick, and other pick(s) could be something that works for both.

Edit:

Sacramento clearly wants to win now and I don't know if there is any big (they're set at the wing with Gay, McLemore, and Stauskas) that can improve the team/is more NBA ready than Sullinger would be next year. They'll be looking at Cauley-Stein at #6, assuming Porzingis goes in top 5, and his lack of spacing could be an issue offensively for Cousins inside.
