They signed Ball to the practice squad today, together with some WR I've never heard of :P

Rice is toxic right now. Noone will touch him with a 10-foot pole... but perhaps Bill will do it to spite Goddell? :)

What are your (and others) thoughts on adding Rice -- assuming he can still play?

Obviously, what he did was horrific, but he's done all he can do to be contrite and raise awareness on the issue of domestic violence -- and it's been nearly 2 years.  I realize many abuse victims remain in abusive situations, but I put some stock in the idea that if Mrs. Rice forgives him enough to marry him and raise their child together, maybe he can be forgiven enough by Bob Kraft to play football. But I may be seeing this the wrong way.  Thoughts?
I think you bring him in for an extensive workout and interview. This isn't a league of angels and it's not the Pat's job to perpetually judge Ray Rice. On some level that's between him, God, and his wife.

Doubt it will happen. They could have gone that way but chose to pick up Ball.

I've got a feeling the Pats will win, or lose, in the playoffs with Brady slinging the ball 55-60 times.  Very few rushing attempts at all unless they're killing clock.

On the other hand, White looked frisky in the passing game on Sunday.  Bolden can make some plays.

Interesting piece with graphics showing how well Patriots have handled injury bug. 3rd most in weeks lost to injuries after NYG and BAL, but far more than the other top teams:

Stephen Jackson worked out for the Pats today

saw this... so he is ahead of Rice despite being significantly older with a lot more mileage

True but Jackson never beat the hell out of a woman.

I would be shocked if Kraft ever gave Ray Rice a chance.

I didn't realize Josh McD worked with Jackson in St Louis. If he has a good understanding of the offense that's a plus

If Jackson can still get the team 2-3 yards in an obvious rushing situation, they can use him.  With Blount gone that's the main thing they're missing.

I here that Pho, blount is the winter back no doubt so many monster games this time of year.

However Bolden is my boy, always felt like he has more to give, now he gets a big opportunity..

Yeah, we need a nice bruiser for the goal-line situations. But I've impressed with Bolden and White lately, so having that trio would be great.

If you thought the Patriots' OL was bad, tune into today's game. The Bucs line play looks absolutely brutal.

Pats slaying the Titans, but Amendola looks like he injured his knee on a punt return.  At this point, can't we just fair catch every punt for the rest of the year -- please?

Alert the media -- Stephen Gostkowski has missed a FG.
