So let me get this straight, correct me if I'm wrong.

Some pertinent injury news;

-Easley to IR

-McCourty most likely out until playoffs with high ankle sprain

-Blount on crutches (hip).  Return uncertain and it sounds like they just brought in Montee Ball to practice squad at the very least.

-Stork with a minor ankle injury
When did Easley land on IR? Can't see anything out there yet, and update from today morning is that it's "nothing serious".

While it's not good to lose McCourty, Stork, or Easley, these are positions we have some depth (Harmon, Andrews, and Siliga, who was a healthy scratch last week). I'm more worried about Blount and Freeny, since we've ran out of RBs and LBs...

edit: Easley news is out there, I guess. Oh well.

Easley to IR is brutal. At least we have Brown and Hicks though. Is Siliga hurt too by the way?
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Healthy scratch last week. We have some depth on the DL and he's strictly a run down guy.

I guess Easley was just too good to be true.  There's a reason he fell to where he did in the draft.

Luckily the Pats have an easy schedule the rest of the way.

The initial reports were it's a quad and not a knee.

Just saw it on ESPN Boston. This has become laughable. Guess we're rolling with Brandon Bolden and James White (until they get hurt, that is).

Yikes.  But on the "it may be OK" side, Blount has not been great this year and Bolden has a little more versatility than Blount.

Ray Rice.   Seriously, how can they not take a look at him?

They're already working out ex-Bronco Montee Ball, so maybe Rice will be next.

They signed Ball to the practice squad today, together with some WR I've never heard of :P

Rice is toxic right now. Noone will touch him with a 10-foot pole... but perhaps Bill will do it to spite Goddell? :)

We need to start giving some serious thought to knocking off TN, hope that somebody beats Cincinnati (NE>CIN in tiebreakers) so we get the bye and then just forfeit the last two games.

What are your (and others) thoughts on adding Rice -- assuming he can still play?

Obviously, what he did was horrific, but he's done all he can do to be contrite and raise awareness on the issue of domestic violence -- and it's been nearly 2 years.  I realize many abuse victims remain in abusive situations, but I put some stock in the idea that if Mrs. Rice forgives him enough to marry him and raise their child together, maybe he can be forgiven enough by Bob Kraft to play football. But I may be seeing this the wrong way.  Thoughts?

If this was the beginning of the year I might take a flyer on Rice but mid season, when he hasn't played in 2 years and is definitely not in "playing shape"(you kind of have to hav been playing somewhere to stay in playing shape), I doubt the Pats will look at him. And it's for this reason I think Rice is not an option, as much as or even more so than having his domestic issue.

The injury situation with the Pats is just simply silly. Like Jeff Farnsworthy Silly Street type silly.
But, if Bill B. & co. can pull some more wonders off the scrap heap like CB Leonard Johnson, then all will be well.
