I am curious. For the people out there saying Rondo makes teams worse....do they believe if Rondo leaves the Mavs that the Mavs will be better next year? Is that the idea?

Yep. He's not adding value there. It's a ****** fit. Don't you see that?
So just to double check they were better off (or would have been better off) with Jameer Nelson? Hmmm...ok. Give me Rondo.

I'm not convinced that Dallas is better off with Rondo over Nelson.  He's done.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Would you repost in this thread in a couple of months if DAL gets deep in the playoffs? Especially if Rondo makes a significant contribution?

And they lost without him.

It sickens me how people here dump on the guy so much, someone who was a big part of our championship run.  That alone should command respect.  How can we forget so fast everything he did here?  Smh.
If Rondo wanted respect in Boston, perhaps he should have thought twice before pouting himself out of town. So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Wow.  How exactly did he "pout" himself out of town?

Yeah pouting really didn't have anything to do with it.

Well, at least we can't blame Rondo for DAL's thrashing at the hands of ATL tonight......oh, wait.

Dirk shot a blistering 2-7, as well.....but gets a free pass, I'm sure.

You conveniently forgot to mention that they were also without Chandler, Amare, and Parsons and were playing on a second night of a back to back vs the well rested Hawks who last played on Sunday.

And they lost without him.

And they went on a run and had a come from behind win when they benched him the game before.  Neither really means much of anything.

Yeah right ...blow out of a Nets will prove squat ...meh  ::)

I want to see him put up this triple doubles on +500 west coast teams .......he can 't do it.....

There are at least 20 guards better than Rondo .

Rondo way yyyyyyy......over rated

I always was of the opinion that the reason for rondos lack of scoring was having pierce/kg/allen..but what was dissapointing to me was that when Green was our best scorer, Rondo STILL only put up 10ppg, 12apg. we needed the scoring more than assists.

now, im not sure if it is the ACL or not. but rondo hasnt been the same player. his last good season was probably 2012

This morning both Kenny Smith (on Mike and Mike) and Stephen A. Smith said that Rondo won't be on the Mavs next season.

I personally think Rondo is autistic. He is awkward, brilliant, and wants to be a perfectionist in certain things. Also, I remember reading something about him saying he drank 6 bottles of water on the way to the TD Garden because he didn't want to be bothered wasting time on in game hydration. Also, wasn't he the one that took 3 pre-game showers EXACTLY at the same time each game? These are all autistic traits.

In basketball this doesn't mean anything, but it's something I've been observing for a few years now.

Too bad Shawn Kemp already took the nickname then.

No, I didn't forget to mention it..I simply found no use in doing so, because you and the other perennial Rondo detractors would've found something else to blame him for, LOL.

How about "IrK"'s lack of D? Look, I love Dirk, but 2-7? Seriously?

Dirk Nowitski (spelling?): " I can shoot however bad I want, because I can do NO WRONG IN BIG D......I'll simply mail it in, get an All-Star Nod, and try to turn it on in the post-season. My bad, lethargic play will be blamed on the scapegoat..."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r2r0Cfs8DI

".....NO - not THAT scapegoat ;D...."

"THIS scapegoat...."

"....I'll just let the hoopla surrounding Rajon Rondo mask the fact that I am not having a great season at all......I've won in DAL already."

And something given the way you're talking about it I'm guessing you are 100% unqualified to diagnose.
