Honestly!  I can't stand him.  He would have fit in perfectly with those filthy Pistons teams with Mahorn and Laimbeer.  He is constantly trying to cheap shot people all sneaky like.  I was hoping that Marcus Smart(who is not taking his nonsense) would round house the big whining baby. Yeah, I get he is a talent but man is he easy to hate.  Just waiting for someone to sweep his leg or windmill him to the ground ala Robert Parish.

Well, I have a cool desire to see him in Celtics Green one day ;)

I bet his teammates love that edginess. He is a BIG dude, at 6'11" and 280? He throws that size around, and is the 2nd most talented Big in the game right now - behind Marc Gasol.

And he's 5 years younger.

He is no where in the class of Laimbeer - that guy was DURTY - not dirty.

Cousins is just a tough player. I bet you don't see many opponents getting in his teammates' faces.

Oh 2 c him in GREEN one day.

I love Cousins. I love guys who play with a chip on their shoulder.

He's very good at getting inside positioning. But I was not impressed with his defense. He was pretty bad at defending the pick and roll. And Zeller was abusing him. He didn't seem to be bothering Zeller's shot or rhythm at all.

And he needs to clean up his negative body language. Too many times he's either giving up on the play and standing with his arms by his side or just whining or sulking.

Once they took him out in the first, they stormed back into the game. When he came back in, we caught up again. Then in the second, we saw a more motivated Cousins who was just beating every player for inside position. It's really like two different players out there.

I don't think he's especially dirty but I do think that he is a whining, pouting 7ft little girl.

All good points.

This is why I place him behind Marc Gasol. Demarcus has gotten better defensively, but he does have a ways to go to get in Marc or even Tyson Chandler's class defensively.

I bet a certain Brad Stevens will help to clean up the image rather quickly :)

I wish him and Coach Karl well in Sacramento, but I won't be upset to see them sputter out and fail, either.

We got a lifeline for him in BOS (IT, perhaps?)

Yup ....he reminds me of ex girlfriends

Lots of DRAMA ....always something wrong ...somebody done somebody wrong ....on and on  ;).

But ......once you get past all that woman ness. Emotion

He is a terrific talent .....

Easily capable of 25 and 15 every night

What impresses me , and always has is ability to bring these numbers ....while not really working all that hard...he is busy complaining and all the other drama ...SMH.  :D

If he could ever ..learn to play emotionally In control. Like Tim Duncan or MR Robinson before him

The result would be simular to watching Bill Russell

I use to like playing against guys like Cousins.....while they stood theirs and complained and stewed, whined , whatever ....I grab the ball and score .

This is why Demarcus Cousins and Coach Brad Stevens of The Boston Celtics would be a PERFECT marriage.

Coach Stevens would get the most out of that talent. Demarcus would be a destroyer.

Yup.....players who learn early on ......to LET the coach fight your battles with unjust  calls ,  other teammate issues .....have an easier go of it .

Cousins need what Dave Robinson trained Duncan ....to stay in control......Dave was a hi IQ , military trained man .   Tim was smart to look up,to him.

Cousins was jerked out of college and thrown in the fire too young .....this is the result .....

He was one TO shy of a triple double!

If he could get his whining behavior under control, he wouldn't be looking at the playoffs from the out side every year. He puts up good numbers, but right now he's hurting his team more than helping every time he complains. The Refs made some bad calls on him because of his rep.

I hope they do well also. It would help our draft position.  :)

I did notice that Karl was not coddling Cousins when he was being whiny. This might be a good situation for him. His other coaches seemed to go to battle or try to support him every time he had beef. It seemed like Karl didn't even want to look at Cousins when he was whining.

I agree. He's good enough to push his team to a 500 record all by himself. He just has to want it and stop with the whining.
