I have a burning hate for Cousins

As much as I respect his obvious talent, and he IS quite a talent. He is probably the most talented Center in the NBA. He literally can do it all.

But, the guy is a complete idiot.

The continual complaining, the cheap shots, the pained look that's painted on his face at all times. The way he always looking to bring the ball up court himself, when he could just pass the ball efficiently to players already up court, and follow the play to the basket, and make sure he backs the play up...like he should. 

I would love to see how he handles an important playoff series. It would be so easy to get into his head, taunt him and make him just blowup, get into a fight and get thrown out, or just completely forget about the team ball concept. example: He threw a Rookie Marcus Smart down to the floor and got thrown out of the game. Dumb move!

George Karl has his hands full, he will either get through to this nitwit and build something, or expose him as a complete looser.

Frankly, i don't think we will see him near a finals, unless he buys a ticket.

I was surprised when he wasn't suspended at least a game for that stunt against Smart.

I get it that it wasn't a punch but there was a clear intent to send a message. The good news for us, is that we found out that Smart doesn't back down. He still tried to get position against Cousins last night. And again Cousins plays the role of bully and gets away with another cheap shot.

actually, i think the guy as enormous talent and right now is frustrated playing along side a bunch of basketball imbeciles. my god, did you see the sac turnovers last night? amazingly stupid passes and choices time after time.

if, if, if cousins comes to the celtics he will have better talent surrounding him very quickly, and, CBS will be better than the coaches he worked under before Karl.

i would welcome cousins. his knucklehead-ocity has really dropped in the past few seasons.

Agreed.  I think the point was that you can't criticize a guy like Boogie for taking cheap shots or for being whiny without recognizing guys like KG (dirty), Rondo (attitude), Pierce (whiny), or Rasheed (all of the above). 

Those traits don't really hold players back, so long as they're committed to maximizing their talent on the floor.

These are all good points but this dude Cousins takes all of the above to another level.

Are you being deliberately obtuse, or are you just not reading what others have explained?

The starting lineup in particular, but lineups that include Cousins in general, are outscoring their opponents consistently.  The losing record comes from the team falling apart when Cousins is on the bench.

That's without even getting into the fact that lots of great players have played on teams with losing records (Anthony Davis, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, etc.)

I like Cousins. If I could trade for him I would. I like players with attitude though. For some reason I think Ainge would prefer someone like Greg Monroe over cousins.

Thing is I can't stand Dwight Howard.  Him with his elbows and cheap shots I despise that guy because he is legitamently trying to hurt players in a cowardly way.

Cousins is just stupid sometimes and he needs to stop trying to do too much.  Him dribbling it up the court himself is ridiculous.  Cousins to me is more like Antoine Walker in personality.  Thing Is I liked Antoine. Still like Antoine.

i dont see the match from the initial list and your point. my point did not deal with intelligence of any player. instead, as roy spotted earlier, the things that some posters rage against in cousins, might be forgiven - heck, might even be beloved by many posters - if a celtic acted in a similar way.

Cousins is a supremely talented and physically gifted basketball player. But man, he is highly emotional. everytime down the court he shows it. I actually kind of like that fire though but I do think he has to reign in his emotions a little bit. I assume that's part of the maturation process though. he just turned 24. The sky is the limit for that guy.  He's a straight up force.

Yeah agreed.  I think they stopped giving him as many techs but they seem to get him in other ways (I think if he didn't complain he'd go to the line more and get more calls).

I think the Celtics get under his skin for some reason though because it seems like he had two of his most hissy fit type nights vs us.  I think Smart p---es him off in part.  They end up seeing each other a lot too because of Cousins so often being the screener.
