Danny looks like he has already made all of his moves. Prince to be bought out?

He started early by trading Rondo, Green, Nelson, Wright.    Now he can relax instead of trying to make numerous moves at one time. I will be surprised if another big trade happens between now and the trade deadline

I think also the vets will stay.   Maybe Prince wants to be bought out. Or maybe he does not mind being a leader of this young team for rest of the season and try to make it into the playoffs.  If Danny is asking him to stay with the team, Prince could in return ask Danny to add another vet or two.

Excited to see what this group can do in the 2nd half.

He won't.  The guys he is interested in per rumors will be expensive or not be traded

-Lawson = expensive. What about Smart as the team pg ?
-Dragic = same as above
-Thomas = If Dragic is gone the Suns need to keep Thomas.

So who do you think he will be interested in obtaining? or you don't know but just have a

feeling at least one move will happen

You really think that Thornton, Bass, Prince, will be on roster after the trade deadline?  He's not going to buy them all out.

I expect at the very least that Ainge will shoehorn himself into a deal between two other teams to gain some minor assets. He has some trade exceptions and an open roster slot to do so.

He is not going to buy them all out. That's why there is a good chance all three stay. Even Prince.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Danny staying put? 

1.  He can wait and see what other players might be bought out and make an offer for them. 

(Downside...if they are good players its likely they would prefer to play for a serious contender.)

2.  He can wait to find out what becomes available in the free agent market during the summer.

(Lots of teams with free cash.  Look at the foolish signing last year... Gordan Hayward for $14 million/year or so)

3.  He can save his picks to later trade up or for another player.

Can't think of a negative for this except if he has an offer for a good player, then sometimes 'a bird in the hand....'

4.  He doesn't sell the farm for the sake of making a trade. The team is interesting as it now stands.

(the team is going nowhere for a long time...get a marquis player now if possible or make a move to get a better player later.)

5.  He doesn't acquire more picks.  Can't there be a point of diminishing returns?

(More is always better...right?) 

6.  The Celtic's salary structure remains stable.  Not taking on more salary allows for more flexibility.

(The salary cap is going up to 90 million?  Money is no object ...at least someone else's.)

7.  Leaves his option in case he wants to sign one of the current free agents to-be next summer.

(Are you serious...those guys couldn't play in a Church b-ball league...(my info source -Celticsblog.com  Forum)

No...If you agree that he's not going to buy them all out, then you just answered my question. There is no reason to have any of them stay if they can get something for them.  Ainge will make a deal even if it's for a bag of nickels in return.

Maybe Danny gets in on Lawson or Hibbert trade... Shaw wants George Hill and their brass is sour on Lawson after missing practice, DUI etc.

Reggie Jackson is drawing some interest (per rumor)

Cant believe DA wont pick up/buy out/ or trade at least one player  (even if its Ledo or Harkless)
