Prince can be a strong part of a rebuild. I'd guesstimate, based on his stature, that he has 15 years of 35mpg left in him.

Yeah I think Prince gets bought out and I wouldn't expect much else.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

It's logical that he would from a financial standpoint.  I think it's a only a wee slim chance he stays put

I don't see how it hurts to let him stay 1/2 year .  He has a ring......he'll just sit on the bench on a contender. It would be a ring with empty meaning .  He may enjoy his Boston company.

I think Stevens will at least argue for Prince to remain ,  be his locker room general or sorts .  It wouldn't hurt DA 's image none to,be openly accommodating to some degree.

I don't think they will right away. I expect the C's to wait until he is fine giving up a good amount of salary before agreeing to buy him out.

Letting the rookies "compete " for playing time against the vets ......makes them earn something and also gives them a bit of gauge to see how they are doing.   Also .....the vets can give pointers on how to play certain opponents and provide a really good test during practice.

LB33 -

If I were a team like Memphis, I would absolutely, without hesitation give up a second rounder to bring in someone like Prince, Thornton or Bass to stick behind Jeff Green, TA or Randolph, respectively - wouldn't you?

Of course it might be hard to make numbers work but in theory, assuming you could make the numbers work, wouldn't you like to have those kind of vet back ups heading into the playoffs?

I don't where the fits would be with what teams - but there must be some...

Looks like another snoozer.  This is the issue with rumors is basketball is only 5 guys and unless we are getting someone that's really going to help us or clearing players for picks to acquire said player(s) there really is no point.

Barring a last-minute change in direction, all indications are now that the #Celtics will stand pat at today's trade deadline.

"again"?!?!?  lol   :P
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

I guess.  Danny worked so hard to get his picks and unless a guy like Lawson was available for 2 1sts (not even 2015 lottery 1st) he was not going to make a move.  Thomas was another possibility but with Dragic wanting out the Suns now need to keep Thomas.

Danny is looking to obtain high end calibre players moving fwd It looks like, if not go through the draft route.

Also the team will try to keep Prince unless Prince and his agent really want out

I dont understand what we are doing as a franchise right now. We clearly aren't tanking, and if we are, Ainge is pretty horrible at it. Are we trying to get the eighth seed? Gee-Wilikers can't wait to root for my team to get bounced in 4 games!

Honestly the team is overachieving. Danny has stripped the team pretty clean. I mean who would of thought Prince (a throw in) would be doing better than Green with the Celts.   Nobody is really interested in Bass, Thornton (but they are making an impact for the Celts).
