  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Smart is better than Teague as  rookie and Teague is an All-star. Young has the stroke to make it. Sully can if he will work. I think KO can get 1 but in a few years.
"People look at players, watch them dribble between their legs and they say, 'There's a superstar.'  Well John Havlicek is a superstar, and most of the others are figments of writers' imagination."

Very good point

I think Smart is ahead of Rondo both at the same point .

If i had to pick one it would have to be Young. I've seen enough of the other 3 to know they will never make an allstar team.

Are you clairvoyant?

Smart has played like 30 NBA games. Smart could make it but only if he is on an elite team. One that puts his contribution in the national spotlight. All Star Games are based off of perception. If he is recognized as one of the 1-3 most important pieces on a top 3 team in the east he could make the team even with 14 & 6 type  numbers

Pretty sure at this point Sully and KO have proven they will probably never make an All-Star game unless they both suddenly change their bodies and games considerably by this time next year. I don't see that happening.

As for Young and Smart, who knows. If anyone is declaring with certainty they think Young or Smart will be All-Stars, they are delusional. They don't know any more than me or you.

I think the Celtics next All-Star could be a player not even on the team yet.

KO yes, Sully no.  His stats put him up there in the EC as a better than average PF already. I see no reason he could not be an AS someday.

Smart, KO, Sully and Young are the four current C's with future AS potential. (Bradley might slip in at some point in his career, too.) I think two Celtics make it next year, with at least one of those slipping in as an injury replacement. I think Young is at least another year away, however.

My best guess is either KO or Sully and another player not yet on the team slip in next year.

Three C's make it the year after that.

This thread highlights just how bad the Celtics situation is right now because none of these players has a chance of ever making the All-Star game in any capacity; the actual team, dunking, 3's.
