I think Utah might be even more likely to balk.  The Kings at least get Kanter (the remainder of his contract plus rights on him) as well as Sully and the picks in return for Cousins.  The Jazz would be giving up rights to Kanter for an expiring Bass and the Clippers' and Sixer's picks.  Say what you might about Kanter's limitations, and certainly Gobert seems like their 'future' at starting C, but Kanter is a legit, starting 7 footer and is worth more than a mid-late 1st and change.

I don't disagree but when I reply to trade suggestions I mainly focus on what the C's are sending out in comparison to what they're getting in return.

Utah would certainly want something better in return.

I wonder if Danny's approach changed from tanking to now adding talent to contend for the Playoffs? I mean, he obviously blew up the team to be bad. But now he's looking at the team, seeing the potential and also seeing that its good enough to make the post season, could it be that his approach changed from bottoming out to getting help.

I don't think that would be a change, per se.  Danny's about value.  If his vets can get him things, they'll be traded.  If they can't, that might mean that other useful players on expirings might be cheaply acquirable.  If Aaron Afflalo can go for an early second, for example, why not?  I don't think it's likely that will occur, but I won't view it as a shift in approach.  It's the same approach, with a different market.

A. Coach Karl wants to Coach Cousins.  So any Cousins dream is on hold until Karl figures out if he can work with DeMarcus

B. I wouldn't get too excited about the Celtics and the trade deadline.  Every year we get fired up and at the end very few trades get done.  Of course,now that I'm saying this Ainge will probably swing 2 blockbusters!

Yes.  But the guy is a first class knucklehead.  I saw him when he was at Kentucky show up Calipari when he yanked him out of the game.  He also has not been a model citizen in Sactown.  We don't need that type of player on this roster.  Let him pollute some other team.  I'd pass on him.

Yeah if the deal can upgrade the overall talent on the roster, I would not be surprised if Ainge pulls the trigger.  It's the most realistic trade idea I've heard in a while.
