We’re ready," Ainge said of next week. "We have a lot of bullets in our arsenal right now. We have a lot of assets we can move for a lot of different things and go in a lot of different directions at this point. This is one of those ‘turning points.’"

Wonder what he means this is one of those turning points

hold your breaths .. Most of the time rumors are just rumors.. DA is known to be constantly working the phones and looking to improve the team but I dont think Sac is ready to give up just yet on Cousins nor Kanter giving up on Utah..

If we got a cousins a westbrook a davis i would think... we are back in business...for a dragic a harris a monroe i would think we aim for the middle...
use trade exceptions to get picks... sell bass thorton prince for whatever you can get...
use the youngsters more to gain experience...
obviously losing more...
with picks and some good  frre agents try to create a culture.. raise the value of the youngsters
after 2 years you will have the assets to strike....................
now if you can get one the first 3 mr ainge... just forget eveything i said

Every time that Danny says nothing is going to happen, it seems like he pulls off a big move.

Now that he's prepping us for trades, does that mean that nothing will happen?

Ah, the wishful thinkers.
It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

basically for the C's it boils down to
Bass, Sully, thornton, 2 mid-to-late firsts and a high second
FOR
Cousins.

hard for the C's to say no.  don't see Sac saying yes especially without including the C's pick this year or one of the Nets upcoming picks.

I think Ainge is trying to drum up business by putting this out.  I don't see that there is that much we can do.  There does not seem to be that much interest in our vets (Bass, Thornton, Prince, Wallace and even Turner) and I am not sure any big names are going to move (Cousins for example).  We don't need more draft picks so trading even trading picks would be OK with me but we aren't going to trade good picks for half season rentals (Dragic, Kantor).

I really don't see much opportunity at this point.

I think Utah might be even more likely to balk.  The Kings at least get Kanter (the remainder of his contract plus rights on him) as well as Sully and the picks in return for Cousins.  The Jazz would be giving up rights to Kanter for an expiring Bass and the Clippers' and Sixer's picks.  Say what you might about Kanter's limitations, and certainly Gobert seems like their 'future' at starting C, but Kanter is a legit, starting 7 footer and is worth more than a mid-late 1st and change.
