our picks wil probably be at 6-8 20-23 33 38 52.... something like that.. we will try to move up to 12-14 with the second pick.. a stein-turner duo or a oubre or johnson-turner duo would be better?

If we could get Stanley Johnson and Myles Turner I would be very very happy with the draft. Not interested in Stein whatsoever.. i don't know particularly why I just don't see him making it. Happy to be proven wrong if Celts draft him

Given where Cs are I think DA drafts based on potential so he will target guys with most upside looking for a home-run. Looks like Cs are drafting later than 8. Think 9-12 with their own pick. In that range it's likely Winslow, Cliff Alexander, Big Frank, Looney or Turner we take. All have nice potential.

Clippers pick likely also later in 22-25 range so maybe DJ, Luw, or Lyles.

So Alexander and D.Johnson.

I think Turner is very skilled but I worry about him getting injured. The way he runs is so awkward that I don't think his body will hold up long term. Also he is pretty slow laterally. I see teams forcing him to defend the pick and roll and him getting destroyed.

Since the C's already have trouble defending the pick and roll bringing in another guy who struggles to defend the p&R isn't the best idea.

A combo of Stanley Johnson and Willey Cauley Stein would target our biggest deficiencies; Rim protection, pick and roll defense from bigs and wing scoring. Johnson can get to the rim and play very good defense. WCS will prevent teams from destroying us in the p&r as well as protect the rim. If we are able to draft both those guys I see us immediately jumping into the top 10 in defense and being an elite defense in a couple years.

I do hope we draft WCS. He's far from a sure thing--if his feel doesn't improve, he could be as bad as darko-- but the upside there is so huge. His top 10th percentile outcome is as high as anyone else in the draft.

Agree with this. Dont want us to draft WCS but if Danny thinks its the best play I'll be entirely on board. Would rather draft Turner though since I think he has a much higher ceiling than Caulie Stein due to his shooting ability and intelligence(he's always interviewed well since AAU, pretty cerebral thinker).

Danny also has clearly invested in Bradley, he might think adding another Texas player would be good for potential chemistry with AB. AB could help the learning curve by comparing the Texas program to the pros.

I want to see us walk away from this draft with Kristaps Porzingis and Cliff Alexander.  MAKE IT HAPPEN, DANNY.

We may not even be in the running for WCS.  ESPN lottery thingie has Denver drafting Stein ahead of us in virtually every scenario I run.  Of course, there's plenty of time until the end of the season.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Looks like D'Angelo Russell has slipped away from our fingers.

Justice Winslow or/(and) Stanley Johnson and I'd be a happy camper.

I don't see the Cs being able to move the clippers pick into the lottery without giving up a future 1st or a player Sully/KO, I don't see this happening

Chad Ford has been pretty set that Okafor, Towns, Russell, Mudiay and Prozingis will be the top 5 and I tend to agree. With a pick 6-8 that in my opinion leaves the Cs picking S Johnson, WCS or Looney.

With the Clippers pick I could see the Cs using 1 or 2 2nds to move up but only a few spots. So in the 21-25 range I could see them looking at Grant, Hollis-Jefferson, Justin Anderson or D Johnson.

The 2nd round picks are great spots to take shots on slipping projected 1sts or draft and stash euros.

I would say given my projections my ideals would be a S Johnson and D Johnson first round then hope an athletic combo guard is available the early 2nd maybe Wright or Vaughan
