Maybe Jordan Adams is a potential part of the deal and Ainge doesn't want Adams and is trying to get a third team to take Adams in exchange for a pick.

I think this is probably correct.  Also, trading Adams keeps Memphis under the tax, which is something they have cared about it the past.

Green to MEM still likely, but wasn't done by close of business today, so couldn't be official until Monday. Celts will check other offers.

ESPN sources say Jeff Green is essentially a member of the Grizzlies now. Teams have agreed to the deal and hope to complete it tonight

LOL you're funny, man.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
So has anyone reported who the third team would be?

I doubt there will be a 3rd team. Who wants Prince??  Who is going to give up anything for him

I really hope Nelson is gone next.

Bass somehow to survive all of this and stay with the team??  I honestly would not mind keeping

him for a few more seasons. Good guy off the bench. Hard working

Keeping Bass just takes time from young guys developing. He's too good to have wasting away on a team like ours.
Time to clear house and shoot up for the draft- and that means getting as 'young' (bad) as possible for a few seasons.

Bass is a cockroach.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

So in essence, Ainge gave up Perk the year we were looking like the best team in the East for Green and then traded Green for 80 year old Tayshaun Prince.

You need a min of 4 front court players.  No reason to trade bass for a 2nd. Just keep him and dont totally mess up the rotation
