the picks are more about getting something instead of nothing.

More important we just get these guys off our books.  We want cap space.  We want to develop the young guys.  We have no use for average veteran role players.

Zach Lowe tweeted that Green was expected to opt OUT of his contract for next season.

If true, good on Ainge for getting something for a guy who was going to bolt.

ESPN sources say Jeff Green is essentially a member of the Grizzlies now. Teams have agreed to the deal and hope to complete it tonight

Well, maybe he will play really well knowing he is going to a championship contender (and away from the tankalicious Cs) - kind of a last hoorah.

EDIT: Apparently he is not taking the floor with the rest of the team...no final episode for Green.

Curious who the third team is. Also curious as to why they need a third team, is it to keep Memphis under the tax? Is it to move Tayshaun or is it to take on Nelson?

Maybe Jordan Adams is a potential part of the deal and Ainge doesn't want Adams and is trying to get a third team to take Adams in exchange for a pick.
