This year and this team is about collecting assets and evaluating young players. Probably next year too. It's not that hard to see that building a perennial contender requires long term planning, quality scouting and roster/cap flexibility, is it? Especially in absence of dumb luck, ie. the Cavs and their #1's. Better to tear it down and start from scratch than over pay for middling veterans to get bounced out of the playoffs but remain "relevant."
