What would be the reaction if these words were coming from Gerald Wallace?

It's good to know that we're both being ignored equally:
This is the most Gerald Wallace-like Jae Crowder has ever been, so points to whoever made that comparison in advance a week or two ago.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Wonderful comparison.

coach is still getting his reps too. the roster will be turned over soon. it's a good time for brad to go through this, when he's dealing with a locker room that will mostly be gone and he can start over with even younger guys.

Sure it was a reference to Sully who despite having a good game in terms of boards and points was trying to be a HERO down the stretch and was terrible on D as usual.

A player should not be saying that about a coach.
Which begs the question, are you really the coach if you don't appear to do any actual coaching.

Not that wonderful when you consider that Wallace is yet to have a game as productive as Crowder had yesterday.

That's just the tip of this iceberg the Celtic Titanic is sailing into .

Ainge will just have to let Stevens go. I don't think the team is responding to whatever he's selling anymore.

That's the picture I had in my most of the game against the Hornets.

No hope.

I'm not sure they've tuned him out.  It's more that what Stevens is selling isn't working.

For example, Stevens whole "calm, calm, calm" stuff.  I'm an Iowa Hawkeye fan and I can't tell you how many times our football team has lost to HORRIBLE Iowa State teams because our coach NEVER gets the team hyped up for the game.  ISU's players are always more jacked up because our coach is also one of these never-get-too-high-or-too-low guys.

This is a young team of moderate talent that needs to be playing aggressively.  It's hard to do that when your coach acts like he's afraid to break an egg.

He did have 4 blocks, that should count for something.

Agreed.  Know your place, and keep it in the locker room.

Stevens is dealing with grown men being paid ...in a money driven business.....high stakes

He is good with teens .....but the vets ,I'm not sure he know s how to lead.?

He needs to man up some.  A little Scott Skiles tuff ness .

I'm also starting to feel that Stevens is NOT putting in the work.  Yes....there is TOO much wrong ....if your working hard ..then the result has to look better than it does.  I don't think the Celtics are getting their end of the deal .  He is overpaid.

So either he doesn't know how to coach  or. He isn't putting in the effort?

One or both .....

I look at the Hawks and the Trailblazers head coaches .....they are in control ..totally no question

Even Jason Kidd seems more comfortable to me and more confident than Stevens

Stevens ....looks lost , not comfortable at all and in over his head .

It's not necessarily a nice league. Coach Pop is an a hole , I see nothing nice about him , he comes off as a jerk ,  but he gets respect.

Danny has a hot head...maybe HE needs to sit on the bench some ......the message is not getting across

I agree about the nice-guy act needing some toughness behind it, and Stevens probably isn't doing the right mix of the right stuff right now. But from all accounts he's your usual coaching workaholic--lack of time committed doesn't appear to be the issue.

I have no problem with this. I think it's great that someone is stepping up. And his play backs up his words.
