Seraphin is a tough matchup for Brandon Wright.

Seraphin is one of the more physical and skilled low post backup centers in the league. His main offensive strengths are precisely Brandon Wright's main defensive weaknesses.

I'm trying to understand why Pressey plays at all.

Some of the worst basketball I have seen in a long time. Both ends of the court. Please trade Green, Bass, etc. and put the tank on full throttle.

Watch Bass. He just watches. Both ends.

LOL..you always hated bass....

For good reasons.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

The two games before this Bradley was 14-27 from the field, including 7-11 from 3. He starts out 0-5 tonight so by all means, pop your heads back up groundhogs and tell everyone how he can't shoot. :)

At this point, he may be more of streak shooter than some would like to admit.

Oh, he's absolutely streaky. I'll admit that. I'm not sure how streaky he is compared to the rest though, and don't feel like attempting to do any comprehensive study that'd require effort. I will predict his numbers in the end will be fine shooting-wise amongst 2 guards.

Main problem is when his long jump shots are not falling ...

Bradley does not get to the basket often enough (1) to get easier shots at the rim, or (2) trips to the foul line. Nor does he provide enough secondary ball-handling or playmaking ability from the SG position.

So if that long jump-shot is not falling, he has little to no value on offense anymore.

So it really stands out -- like an eye-sore -- when Bradley's long jumper is not falling.

But I don't think he's supposed to be much more than a 3 and D guy, like Bruce Bowen, but for 1's and 2's. He's never gonna be a slasher. Whether or not he's an elite defender at his spot is up for debate, but his salary isn't out of line with what a 3 and D guy gets in the market.

And his shooting numbers are gradually getting up to snuff.

Gotta say I agree with this as sad as it is to admit

Yeah, if you trade Rondo for crap you better follow through and blow up the roster properly.

This in-between "not quite committing to rebuilding but dumping star player" nonsense irritates the heck out of me.

Smart's turned the ball over a lot in the time he's played, but he's going to have games like that.

He's basically the PF version of Avery Bradley.

If KO had played the entire 4th quarter, he would have only played 37 minutes.  That's not exactly the Bataan Death March.  Why not leave him in, at least until garbage time?

Mike

Because it's absolutely imperative that second-rate players like Brandon Bass receive 4th quarter minutes.  ???
