I think we're finding out that Smart can run this team. Which is what we needed to find out.
His energy, toughness, and defense are contagious.
As he gets more experience and confidence, his game will continue to develop.
Yes. This was a very big game for Smart. Not only did it get him through his tentative return from the ankle sprain, but it also was a big step in reinforcing his confidence and getting him to the next level. The team had been struggling to find heady players in the clutch from among those with 3-8 years in the league. Looks like their 20yo rookie is ready to contribute there almost from the start.
Also a big game for KO. He racked up more minutes than any other player (off the bench!) and the game finally turned when he finally fouled out after more than 40 minutes. This was his second aggressive game in three--that's at least progress toward a habit.
we should add as tommy devotees that the last two fouls called on Kelly were suspect…the one on old friend paul pierce was complete

. Paul touched ko's leg and flopped. Poor call by official
I thought it was great to see KO play well, smart to step up, turner very good game (and he worked at defense). Nice TEAM job, rondo, bradley and sully were not on and the bench guys did a great job. (kudos to unmentioned bass, green, zellerJ)
