Ho hum - just another winning night for the Eastern Conference's best point guard. 18 pts on 6/10 shooting (including 2 for 4 from 3 Pt), 13 Ast, 5 Reb, 2 Stl, and 1 Blk for good measure.

Washington has put together a pretty good team.

Too bad we are burdened with Rondo's contract.

Too bad you have no idea what you are talking about with us being 'burdened' by Rondo's deal.  DA was widely praised for getting Rondo resigned on such a great deal just on the cusp of becoming an all star.  His 12.9 million is a huge bargin by nba standards.  It is in no way burdening the C's or hindering the C's in any way shape or form.

I think he is talking the MAX that Rondo is demanding or going to demand

Sad, but the more Rondo plays...the more his trade value decreases...which is the opposite of what I thought would happen.
Put him on the bench and it will rise again

No he isn't.  In another thread he commented about how many "millions" were "wasted" on Rondo's contract.  He isn't talking about a future deal.

I think it is becoming more and more evident that he is not a MAX player.  If he demands it "sayonara" or sign and trade.   But right now he is playing himself at the 10-12 million range.

I don't know what Stevens can do.  In terms of benching Rondo, it is kind of [dang]ed if you do, [dang]ed if you don't.  The only current alternative would be to go with a back court of Bradley and Turner down the stretch and I can't say that it would be any better (maybe).  When Smart gets back, that could be an option but I think it is unlikely we would see that.

Rondo is our guy; our best player; is going to attract top free agents to the team; our best trade asset.  It would be kind of crazy to not play Rondo at the end of games for all kinds of reasons.  I am afraid we have to live and die with Rondo for however long he is on the team.

Rondo able to bring in or attract FAs is highly overrated.  He was not able to bring in Carmelo . I mean what above average player has he been able to recruit?

Rondo can bring down another team if he likes. Not this team

What are you even talking about? How could Rondo bring in Melo when we had no cap room? We haven't had cap room to sign a major free agent since Rondo has been here.

I'm pretty sure that triboy16f has been presented multiple times in other threads with the facts that make it clear that the C's have never had the cap space to even play in the big FA market during Rondo's run, but he posts the above illogical complaint again anyway.

At some point, this stops being rational and is just some sort of weird, surrealistic conversation.
