The premise of this thread is factless and bias and emotional.

Factless...?! Maybe you do not wanna see the facts...

so, list some facts then. you haven't said anything except people aren't seeing the truth. if they can't see it themselves then reveal it for us. but just stating platitudes, ones that almost all others disagree with, and then getting huffy when called on it, it isn't doing your argument any favors.

what are these facts we all need to know to understand how brad stevens isn't a real coach?

The overreactions...

The one mistake Stevens made was using Turner as a pg. Other than that he's doing his best with this flawed roster

I'm fine with Turner playing pg if Bradley is also there. BUT, my only problem there is, how Turner himself single handedly bought the Raps back with his 5 TO. We shouldn't pin all the blame on Stevens. I mean yah, I think Turner should've been yanked out after his 2nd or 3rd TO in limited minutes and award Smart with more. But I think with time, that will happen imo.

You didn't finish your sentence.  The best what?
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Phil jackson did it in the Finals to the Celtics. Man, he must stink.

You realize that happens to every team, multiple times each year right?

A 16 point lead in the 1st freaking quarter means absolutely nothing in the NBA.

the coach is not the problem, people need to accept that while they are better than last year, they still have one all-star and a bunch of kids.  Manage your expectations accordingly.

Please ?? You think no team has ever lost after being up 16? .

How many times this team under Stevens "direction" have lost being up to 15 or more points in these 2 seasons??? Please...

I dunno, it's your thread, so you do the research.

I expect it's not much more or less than any other coach of a bad team. huge leads in the first quarter mean nothing in the NBA.

Fun fact: a period indicates the completion of a sentence.

Of course you can. If the other team is better, there is nothing surprising about that. Poor logic.

Are you saying there is a difference between being down by 15 and losing by 3 and being up by 15 and losing by 3? There really isn't a principled difference. Any team can have a good or bad quarter. If it is less than 48 minutes, it doesn't matter much.

Since when is a punctuation 'lesson' (or smartass remark) fun?  No need to be so literal...it was a joke.

It appears my dryness-meter needs to be recalibrated for CB standards again. My apologies!

But of course, turning the ball over is surely Brad Stevens' fault. I'm sure the "real coach" that we hire after him wont turn the ball over.

Wait a minute...  ::)

Dry humor and sarcasm tend to get lost in print (unfortunately).  I appreciate the attempt though.

Well, let's be real for a moment - our halfcourt offense does suck.  Our aggression on defense early helped spur our 25-9 lead in the first quarter, but then it seemed like to tried to over think things, when all we needed to do was to keep it simple by continuing to get the ball to Green against Derozan, who was abusing DD on both ends and could easily have had another 35 point game, and Sullinger, who hardly missed either when he posted up, but didn't get the shot attempts, which kind of baffles me because the Raptors were without Amir Johnson and Valan?i?nas.  Not only were we scoring with regularity when we went to those mismatches, but we also never turned the ball over, which is all I really need to say, lol ;D.  Sigh.  Ah well, at least Rondo was outstanding :)

I know this thread is a joke and all, and i'm not ready to bail on Stevens yet...But there's certainly things I'd like to see done differently. off the top of my head - why do we have 3 PG's on the roster and we play a SG over 2 of 'em...who is no better than them...and then we play a PG at SG?

also, why are we trying to be a perimeter team with no actual "shooters"?
