Funny thing is if Rondo makes at least 4 of his 7 free throws (excluding the 3 at the end) and we don't commit careless turnovers (Bradley), it's a completely different game and Eugen doesn't return tonight to share his boundless wisdom with us.

I'll gladly blame Stevens for the loss to OKC, and to a lesser extent against Cleveland.  Tonight we came back from a 14 point deficit to almost win.  It was a lack of execution by our players and inability to hit crucial shots (FTs) that cost us the game.

By the way, Phoenix should fire Jeff Hornacek.  Blowing a 14 point lead is inexcusable.

You argument is always based on "if' conditions..."if" here, "if" there...if if if...always if...Miserable argument in order to hide the reality...Maybe you have to ask yourself IF a NBA "coach", 49 second before the end, can let a small guard to play the ball  in order to win the game?

Well, given that making 4 of 7 free throws is a rather low expectation of any NBA player with exception of Drummond, Howard, etc. it really wasn't an argument, more lamenting the fact that something that should occur didn't.  It's relatively simple things that are costing us games.

As for the last segment of your post, I have no idea what you're asking me.  I've long assumed that English is not your first language.

I could the see the clipboard and the plan was to make two and miss and rebound out to the wing for a game winner but RR missed.  Given the situation this was about all you could try.

No .....team leader ....poor coaching ....no person to step up and make a play when it counts

I thought both RR and Jeff Green got us back into this game.  I watched the game and I thought that Uncle Jeff was leading tonight vs. the Suns.  I thought Zeller stepped up as well and Rondo almost had a triple double though his TOs and FTs hurt us.

I really do not think we have that person to make a play when it counts right now.   Rondo isn't a shooter.   Green can be timid.   Sully wants to take all kinds of pressure shots but has not shown a great deal of proficiency being the man nor creating the kind of space one on one outside the post that is oft required of this type of player.   KO can't create the space.   Bradley is complimentary type who will not take over games.

This is why  we need to win the lottery .....to get an elite scorer .....I was hoping for Wiggins or Parker .

We are screwed

Rondo is within .5 ppg of both Parker and Wiggins while averaging way more rebounds and assists in about the same minutes per game. If we got Parker, we'd complain how he's undersized and not explosive enough, and if we'd gotten Wiggins, we'd have had 4 "Trade Wiggins Because He's Jeff Green Jr." threads already. Yes, they're good prospects, but let's not pretend that they would be satiating our short-term desires, which is the whole reason the "trade Rondo" and "Stevens Sucks" threads even exist.

The problem was they needed to get a better shot before Rondo got fouled.  That's where coaching comes in.

Some of it is talent based too, no one respects Rondo's shot enough to guard him so they play off him and pack it in.   Sully is shooting 15% from down town.  KO is slow and has trouble creating a shot.   AB is oft possesive and JG can be timid as well.   Thornton has big shot blood in him but is very streaky.  ET is not a finisher.  Bass likewise was usually steady but not tonight.

Stevens can go out there and make the shot for them.

This thread is comical, let the man get some talent around him before he is blamed for everything. He was not like a regular NBA hire that comes with tons of NBA experience. Stevens came in with the keys to the kingdom and the promise of 1) patience and 2) that he would have talent eventually given him. Those chastising him this early are not giving him patience. Don't be delusional to the lack of talent on this roster. Come on guys lets call for the death penalty on a young promising coach

This team need a real coach....
Can not lose games after being up to 15 or more points...Is not a real coach. Can not manage a NBA team...

I like Stevens. Good coach. Just more suited for the college game. He is only following orders from up top so we can get Okafor or Towns in July.

Our coach is good. He just need to design better plays coming out of timeouts. We really need a young, good defensive C, like Gorgui Dieng or Rudy Gobert and all of our problems will be solved.

We won't give up too many points around the rim, and the guards will be able to pay closest attention to the perimeter, because right now they are trying to help with interior defense and leaving the perimeter unguarded. They are trying to do 2 things on defense and they are doing both really bad  :-\

I really enjoy watching our celtics, it has been fun, but I'm going to bed p---ed off and stressed every night, this is not good for my health!

Dieng for KO/Bass or some variation... But, this is probably our roster for the year.

Carlisle was 2-7 through his first 9 games coaching Dallas.

It's good we're improving, but Rondo and Stevens want to win. They're not sticking around for near-wins.

Also, James Young didn't leave Kentucky for the D-League. He should get some of Turner's minutes and some of Thorntons (when he's cold). Give Young a few minutes. Chicago puts McDermott in for 2 or 3 shots, if he misses he goes back to the bench.

If we're focused on improving, what's more important? Keeping Turner happy, or keeping Young happy? Is our team better if we develop another PG, or would we be better off developing wings?

Stevens doesn't get a lot of practice time. It's impressive when they run motion at the top of the key. Can't wait to have Smart back. He plays his role well on offense. Rondo, Bradley, and Smart pressing is a nightmare. A win could swing momentum more than we think...

Sure Young needs to get some playing time, bet he won't frustrate me more than Turner. And I think the Wolves would pull the trigger on KO + Clip 1st or KO + Bass,  either way it's a good deal for us.
