I think a healthy Chicago squad can take down the Cavs in the east this year.  If they're not healthy, it's Cleveland's to lose.

I think Year 2 is when the Cavs really start putting it together.

I think you just hate Lebron James. There is no way I pick Chicago over Cavs. Gasol is a good player, but nowhere near prime Gasol at Lakers 2009-10. It was evident last year and the FIBA tournament. He can't even will Spain to the semifinals at home. Lebron can shut down Rose if needed and they heve Marion for the job too. He held in check Tony Parker too last year in the first round. Cavs are stacked.

I'm glad we think we can see inside other posters' heads.  ::)

Actually, if you go through my post history, you'd see I've been more kind to Lebron than many others on this board.  I'm sure many would vouch for me on that also.

Might want to do some research before tossing out an ignorant comment like that.

i think the east is wide open this year and i also think the cavs are very beatable - including by the celtics.

i think if rondo returns to form, by the end of the year, bradley, rondo and smart will give cleveland's backcourt fits.

i also think;
sully and olynyk may 'really' break through this year -
zeller will have a much bigger impact than people think -
green and crash, along with turner will provide good production at the three
stevens will have this team overachieving -

celts / cavs in the ECF - outcome a toss up.

we have 'a lot' of gamers on this team;

rondo, bradley, smart, sully and olynyk lead the pack. young may be in that crowd as well - need to watch him more,

if everything gels, celts will be much tougher than anyone thinks.

That's not overachieving.  That's some major miracles.

Honestly, it's posts like these that make me wish they would be saved and rehashed at the end of the year for further discussion.

The Bulls biggest issue the last few years has been scoring. So they added Gasol, Mirotic, McDermott, and have Rose returning. If you don't think a rotation like the one they boast is a legitimate threat to Cleveland and a true title contender, then I don't know what to say.

Rose-Hinrich-Brooks
Butler-Snell
McDermott-Dunleavy
Gibson-Mirotic
Noah-Gasol-Mohammed

I bet you would've thought some mediocre team like Dallas could've taken out the Heat in Year 1.

Dallas was just playing there heart out and lebron choked.

The cavs play no defense from what I know right now. Maybe they pull something out of the hat this year but i dont think there are many teams that make it far in the playoffs without defense and atleast 2 solid role players off the bench. Love is not a defensive player. Irving is not, rebounds mean nothing when the ball goes in the hoop. A rebound is when the ball doesnt make it. soooo good luck to them i like chicago and golden state. Currys best year this year.

im starting to like brad stevens.

I don't think I said any inappropiate thing. I said you probably hate Lebron James. Looks like you not. Should I read all your post before I comment? I don't think so. (You have a million post anyway 8)) I did not intend to hurt you. Maybe I should have written: "You're seriously underrating Lebron and the Cavs." Any thoughts what I wrote in my earlier post other than "You can't see in my head" which I agree.

It's funny because I always rooted for Dallas. They were a juggernaut mid 2000's, but they always came up short. ("Thanks" refs for 2006 finals.) When I thought they have no chance anymore they got it together and beat up the other teams in the playoffs and won the championship. When they swept the Lakers I actually felt pretty good about their chances. I was sure they'll beat OKC. Miami looked unstoppable, then Dirk and co. won game 2. The rest is history.

I reckon the fate of a Cavs-Bulls series will be down to if it plays out as a track meet, or a bar fight [/cliché]
